Diabeties?
Hi Again and apologies for being a pain. Thought I'd start a separate post about something specific although I'm still trying to figure out why i'm so ill at the moment but so many symptoms match diabetes especially with the weight loss the week prior to hospital and the increased urination and I'm so

Will a being on a ketogenic diet effect Blue Horizon blood test results?
Have had my Mum on a ketogenic diet for the past week and expecting to receive the test soon. I'm wondering whether a very low carb diet will effect the readings.

New weapon for inflammation.
Flinders University researchers have discovered a new anti-inflammatory role for well-known blood clot protein fibrinogen, which could support targeted new treatments for kidney, heart and other common diseases. The study in Redox Biology describes how fibrinogen can be protective against hypochlorite

Elevated ALT + GGT caused by Keto / Low Carb ?
For the past few years my LFT readings for ALT+GGT have been slightly raised with no obvious reasons. I’ve had ultrasounds, CT scan, Fibrosis score, detailed blood test etc and the doctor doesn’t know why this is going on. I decided to review my diet and take action to reduce my BMI (30+) following my

Week 9 -5 kg 💪 but hello hair loss( Help(
Week 9. Hello hair loss. More stress!👎 I've lost at least 5 kg💪. I eat 1400-1500 calories a day and go cycling 4 hours a week. I used to take multivitamins occasionally. I've realized that I need to take it daily, because my hair is shedding, thinning and don't look good. Has anyone else had the same

More on SAD and keto
I haven’t had a problem with alcohol, just the standard American diet ie SAD diet. It’s pretty standard in keto world that HDL goes up and triglycerides go down. When you go low carb you almost invariably go high fat. Thus it would seem to me to lower the saturated fat in blood plasma keto is the way

Swollen feet, ankles, legs.
I’m told it’s water retention but my ankles and feet are swollen and sore. I have diabetes and am on insullin. Is this dangerous?

Glucose test 27 weeks pregnant.
I have a glucose test very soon and because of my anxiety I'm dreading it. I've had one before and it was all normal. I've used my mother's blood sugar test as she has diabetes (that's why I need the test) and my levels came back normal too. Question is; is it mandatory to have one? I suffer with anxiety
