Something positive!
Hey all, As you all know I have been struggling for quite some time with a lot of symptoms . I was back home at the weekend and decided to do bloods for vitamins etc. The good news is that my ferritin has gone up by 15% in a few months of taking Floradix, also my b12 is top range, folate same. I3C [indole-3-carbinol]
Following on from recent I3C posts, I thought I would review the literature. Plants have evolved protective mechanisms to deal with environmental insult. The greatest such insult, of course, is to be eaten. So, along with the chemicals that are considered to be protective in humans, such as the polyphenols

Really bad hunger attack...
I was getting these really bad hunger attacks since being on prednisone. I assume it is an insulin problem. Have had glucose checked and everything is fine. Since going on very low carbs (about 9 weeks) I have been getting less of these attacks. Yesterday I had a rare attack of hunger and shaking .

Cancer stem cells, which fuel the growth of fatal tumours, can be knocked out by a one-two combination of antibiotics and Vitamin C
First, the researchers inhibited the tumour cell mitochondria, by restricting the cancer cells only to glucose as a fuel source; then, they took away their glucose, effectively starving the cancer cells to death. "In this scenario, Vitamin C behaves as an inhibitor of glycolysis, which fuels energy

Taking 125mcg Levothyroxine, but still not feeling 'right'.
I have been taking 125mg of Levothyroxine for around 8 years, but still feel unwell. My blood tests are always considered 'normal' for this dose. The tests requested by the GP for my review are: TFT, Fasting Lipids, Liver function, Glucose, U+E Creatinine. I am not told the details of the results, just

Extreme fatigue immediately after eating anything
I know this is a very common question and I have researched both on here, and elsewhere a lot!! My situation however seems slightly different in so much as it happens almost immediate, within just a few minutes of eating. It is not so much "tiredness" but more of a fatigue / brain dead sort of feeling

Hypoglycemia after IL
Hi all, I so appreciate this site for all the feedback, encouragement and good information from those who have "been there". My husband is 14 months post IL and recently been suffering with symptoms we now recognize as hypoglycemia. He gets clammy, shakes all over, light headed and weak if he goes too

The Dangers of Sitting (Prolonged, that is)
From Harvard Health: Researchers aren't sure why prolonged sitting has such harmful health consequences. But one possible explanation is that it relaxes your largest muscles. When muscles relax, they take up very little glucose from the blood, raising your risk of type 2 diabetes. Sitting can also increase

Precaution about B1 100 mg tablets
I was recently prescribed B1, 100 mg, several times per day The brand I was prescribed contains maltodroxin, which can degrade into two molecules of glucose. This is not good for me. I have severe PPH and launch into a PPH episode appx after taking two 100 mg tabs. I have been working on and improving

35 Days Of Taking Zytiga With Food
On April 10th with the consent of my MO, I began taking my 1000mg dose of Zytiga/Pred. with food. On average the meals ranged between 500 and 750 calories and 30 to 50 grams of fat. This was a last ditch effort to prolong the effectiveness of Zytiga as my PSA after falling from 32 to 12 began to rise
