As you all know I have been struggling for quite some time with a lot of symptoms .
I was back home at the weekend and decided to do bloods for vitamins etc.
The good news is that my ferritin has gone up by 15% in a few months of taking Floradix, also my b12 is top range, folate same. D has dropped so we won't talk about it here my cholesterol is not crazy high, insulin cortisol and glucose are good. Liver labs - ideal, same with kidney so I think I will live.
Bug hugs xxx upwards and onwards x let's focus on some positives
That's wonderful! Thanks for sharing your positive news and your new mindset.
I love the scene from Bridge of Spies when James (Tom Hanks) says, "Do you never worry?" and Rudolf (Mark Rylance) replies, "Would it help?" Words to live by!
It is so true! I don't want to worry anymore. I have been pushing pills into me just because I had to make a work meeting, trip or an event ...now I don't care. What happens happens. My body doesn't like me rushing it x
Thank you 😀 I am just happy that Floradix actually works, as it's not as strong as iron pills, but I seem to absorb it very well. It has all Bs and iron. On top of that I take solgar b12 from time to time, but I don't think it's necessary as my levels are high. I take 8,000 units of vit D, otherwise I drop down to 30 in the range, before that I was at 119, but stopped taking vit D on holidays and I didn't work for me. Now I'm experimenting with taking my t4 t3 early instead of 7 am. Today I have more energy in the morning. I need to keep tweaking with times.
Golly we have to become our own chemists. I'm just waiting for my first full panel of tests from medichecks as I've only had TSH so far from gp. The picture is much more complex and wide ranging than the first explanation at surgery in march 18. All the very best.
It is complex, but we will all get there.I can't believe the amount of stuff I learned over the past couple of years! I honestly know that most of us here would be better thyroid doctors than docs I had met in the past!
