Hydrocortisone!!!
Can I ask a question about hydrocortisone! I've read a lot that's been on here about it, I have to get injections for pain which as far as i know is cortisone. I've gotten them for years and always swear never again, til the pain gets so bad. I feel like hell after it (I did post about this before

Dealing with the next chapter.
It’s been a week since we found out that mums treatment wasn’t working. She made the decision that she wouldn’t try a fourth option as it could prove more damaging, especially as she’s feeling relatively well. She’s got slight breathlessness, nothing too bad just noticeable if she walks far or talks

Just needing some validation
My adult son, age 34, suffers with neuro Behcets and has horrible pain. He is on palliative care. He has eye problems, lesions, arthritic pain, balance issues and chronic mouth sores. He is depressed and feels alone. I tried to connect with the Behcets community in the US but it’s not responsive. He

Hydrocortisone 10 mg tablets OTC ?
Hope everyone is doing okay. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure if Hydrocortisone 10mg tablets can be bought over the counter OTC in Greece or Cyprus from a chemist? Or any other country that sells the tablets OTC from a chemist or online to be delivered within that country? Hydrocortisone 10mg

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
I am new here, but not new to thyroid problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2001 after years of symptoms no doctor could explain: high blood pressure difficult to control even with medication, hair loss, high cholesterol, weight gain and fluid retention. Doctors suggested I was eating too much

Dermatology Check Today, all OK😀
Dear All, Today I had my Dematology Appointment and Everthing was Ok. Yes the Athlete's Foot, Eczma, Dry Skin, Warts and so on ARE, very much, still there but there were NOT any Major Problems. The 'Dermy' Very Carefully 'checked' under my arms, my hand- where I had had a 'carcinoma' removed, a few years

She was an extremely youthful 73. She was in the RUH here in Bath, in the Waterhouse ward. She had been receiving palliative care

Need help and info about Hydrocortisone.
I’m looking for some information and advice. Just a quick synopsis of my history. I started with PMR when holidaying in Madeira in December 2015. My hands ached to such an extent that I didn’t know what to do with them! From there things got worse, neck, shoulders, hips, back, feet, I thought that

Mosquito bites
Does anyone else have extreme/long lasting skin reactions to insect bites? As Autumn blusters in I have an (unwelcome) reminder of warmer times thanks to some very swollen and itchy bites. Probably mosquitoes. The bites occurred in different gardens at different times but the reactions are the same.

My Blood report based on whole plant based food
I am pleased to post my blood report dated 2nd Dec, 2020. I was following a whole plant food since last 2- months based upon principles of Cyrus khambatta's book "Mastering diabetes". I could attach only one screen shot image of the lipid profile.... as this is the first time ín my life I have seen

"High-Fat" or "Healthy-Fat"
It's often said on HU that this approach should be called "Healthy-Fat". Though the fats we eat should be healthy, I think "Low-Carb High-Fat" is the right name. A name doesn't need to explain every tiny aspect of the plan, just enough to show what it is. Once you cut the carbs, you either go low calorie

Well, that escalated quickly...
Hey everyone. I joined here a few weeks ago having been diagnosed with angina. I have obviously had cardiac problems building up over the years but I've been asymptomatic (as far as I am aware). Following a CT scan and an angiogram (both of which were great, the medics and staff all brilliant) I need

Steroids Can Be Lifesaving for Covid-19 Patients, Scientists Report
Who knew that our Addisonian medication could be life saving for those seriously ill with Covid-19. When the news was reported awhile back, I was already familiar with the other corticosteroids used to treat Addison's for those who didn't fare well with the traditional hydrocortisone. https://www.nytimes.com
