Who knew that our Addisonian medication could be life saving for those seriously ill with Covid-19. When the news was reported awhile back, I was already familiar with the other corticosteroids used to treat Addison's for those who didn't fare well with the traditional hydrocortisone.

I read about this earlier. My son has Addison’s. He was taken into hospital in March, & tested positive for Covid-19. He was back home within 2 days, & did really well with recovery. I now think the hydrocortisone must of helped.
I've mostly heard about this for dexamethasone, which is not the steroid most of us take. Also, I believe that the doses they are talking about to help with COVID are significantly higher than our daily maintenance doses. I'm sorry, not trying to sound negative, just throwing out what I've heard.
