hey everyone! I’ve been dealing with anal fissures on and off ever since giving birth back in 2016. I used to be able to go months and months before having a retear. Then I started noticing I’d tear around my period. Then in 2023 I stopped working out and I noticed I got fissures every month!!! It’s

PMR and brachial neuritis
It looks like I have developed a fairly rare condition called Parsonage-Turner syndrome (PTS), also called brachial neuritis. It started with terrible pain in the shoulder, so initially I thought it would appear in the other shoulder and be the beginning of a PMR relapse. But it is taking a different

Cholestyramine
My husband has had explosive diarrhea since mid February. After blood tests, stool samples, colonoscopy, and more stool samples, they are not able to determine what is causing the diarrhea. The doctor has prescribed Cholestyramine. Has anyone had experience with this medication and did it help?

What's next?
As I've written before, my husband stopped all treatment and is receiving palliative care. Just got the results of his 3-mo. PSA and it's jumped from 40 to 91. Wondering if there's any way to know if/when symptoms will start appearing due to PCa's further or worsening spread? He experiences some pain

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

Foot/mouth hand or something else??
Does anyone know what this is. It started with red burning spots then turned into patches. Then I had chicken like pox all over my body and face. Hands rashes are similar to feet. But my thumbs are going white too and thin skin. Anyone know what's happening. I'm very stressed. Doctors are not helping

Sugar Alcohols Ruined My Health: Learn from My Mistakes
Given the number of members who are intolerant to Teva levothyroxine, this video might be of some interest. Many suspect it is the mannitol content of Teva levothyroxine that lies behind the intolerance. After all, there were also many complaints around the world as Merck have slowly move from lactose

Confusing news from oncologist
Hi all, looking for some insight or direction based off of any experiences or similar ones. My dad started chemo in October with a PSA of 126. After 2 rounds of chemo, his PSA rose to 153, we saw some increase in his bone metastasis as according to the scans (posted about this previously). My dad

QoL: "The berries remain, though the leaves are gone."
I travelled to Scotland to see my father for an early Christmas, and then to West Yorkshire to see my mum. My dad had requested a couple of paintings to hang on his wall as a reminder for when I am no longer here, this being part of his adjustment that I am now receiving care for pain management only
