I've had rectal pain after bowel movements for 2 years. Pain lasts around 4-5 hours. No Dr. knows what's wrong. MRI was normal. I can't sit over 1 hour and I and when I stand for over an hour I feel like mu insides ar falling out of my vagina. I do not have Hemorrhoids. I do have a 2cm Retrocele but Drs. say it's to small to operate. I just want a help.

Hi,I have exactly the same thing but sometimes the pain will last all day and then I get tingling and numbness in my legs.

I have been to so many doctors and am so fed up with the medical system at the moment.

I also have a rectocele and intussusception. On top of that I have been diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia. Look it up.

I am having a ganglion impar block in a couple of weeks which is an injection into an area near the Coccyx and it temporarily numbs the nerves in that region to hopefully give me some relief.

I have been suffering for 22 months now and am.in pain every single day. I also can't sit down for long periods.

I am 70 years old.

All the best. I hope you can find some answers and if you do please let me know.

I'm so sorry. I'm going to Mass General Hospital today. They have a whole team of drs. that get together to go over your symptoms and tests you've had. I really don't want to repeat the tests. I've went to Pt for 7 moths and that didn't help. I also had Hemorrhoid surgery 2 years ago and pain was unbearable. At the last appointment the surgeon said I don't think you needed Hemorrhoid surgery. He told me to go to Pt. which I did.I've had pelvis ultrasound with contrast, 3 ancopy's, MRI, and Colonoscopy and everything was normal. I've been told I have a 2cm Retrotocele (which I was told they don't operate on a 2c. I cry everyday. My pain starts after BM and lasts hours. I do not have any blood or straining. I'm so afraid they're not going to be able to help me.

I will post what happens at this visit.

I would also like to hear what Mass General told you. I have had this condition for over 12 years, many doctor visits, PT, that didn’t work, a medical stimulator implanted and lots of shots. Nothing seems to help me except 300 mg of Lyrica day, 60 mg of duloxetine a day, Ativan, and three 500 mg of Robaxin delivered during the day. All these meds just sort up numb me so I can at least lay down without so much spasming but of course I can do nothing else. Incannot sit more than 30 minutes and lying down is even more painful with this spasms. The pain is now starting to go down my legs and I will probably have to increase my Lyrica. This has changed my whole life. Rocky 68.

Can I ask what tests you've had? I've had a Pelvic ultrasound with contrast that was norman. I've had an MRI which was normal. I've have 21 (yes 21) Trigger injections in Levator muscle.

I've had a Colonoscopy which was normal with only polyp's were found and removed. I am now going to have Defecography and a Anorectal manometry . That's the last 2 tests I can have to determine what's wrong with me.

Any help you can give me I appreciate,

Thank you,

Ann

Pudendal neuralgia maybe.

I think it’s pudendal neuralgia to. It’s an invisible neuropathy and it cannot be imaged.

I had my pudendal nerve decompressed as it was pinched in three places.

I think you should try some Amytriptyline. It’s a good nerve pain modulator.

PT made me worsen.

Good luck.
