Rectal Pain
I have daily very painful rectal pain which keeps me from ordinary functioning. I have a history of internal and external hemmorrhoids and my doctors feel because I am 87 years old I should not consider a hemmorrhoidectomy. I am hoping that there is someone who can relate to my condition and can offer

Besremi - Sore throat, swollen/bleeding gums
Title says it all. These are some of the more serious side effects I'm having from Besremi. Symptoms follow injection by roughly 5-7 days. Please post if you have these issues as I'd like to confirm this as a side effect. I've been having this issue since shortly after my first injection on 1/29 of this

Understanding Palliative Care
I received a email today: There is a lot of confusion when it comes to palliative care.
Many people equate the term palliative care with hospice
, but the two terms are not interchangeable. Palliative care is a medical approach that can be applied at any stage of disease – even at the time of

polyhydramnios
I’m currently 32+6 weeks pregnant with my second child and I have severe polyhydramnios (which was picked up at 28 weeks) my current AFI from today is 37cm. I am so worried about what this may mean for my baby. So far all scans have been positive, I’ve had 3 normal scans & 3 scans with Fetal Medicine

Dad has lung cancer
My dads diagnosed stage 3 today and said he wouldn’t be able to have treatment as chemo would make him really ill and surgery Isn’t an option due to being 7cm and in lymph nodes. I think I sort of expected he wouldn’t be ok for treatment as he is only 7.5 stone and has severe spine curvature, osteoporosis

Review of Top 10 Prescribed Drugs and Their Interaction with Dental Treatment
Yet another paper which hints at quite a bit - bit then is behind a paywall. If anyone has access, just knowing the outline of what they say could be very interesting. We have had many question the impact of thyroid issues on their teeth and dental treatment. [i]Dent Clin North Am. 2016 Apr;60(2):

What pox do you choose?
I choose the monkeypox, with which we will get to know very briefly for general culture. I ask people who don't like to read about diseases to refrain or read at their own risk. The idea is only one - knowledge is power! Monkeypox and blood cancer - read more here: https://bloodcancer.org.uk/news

Which statin to take with Nubeqa/Darolutamide? Pitivastatin or a different statin?
I took someone's advice and called Bayer Corp today. What a waste of one hour. Minimum wage level 1 employee bumbling around trying to get me answers. I already read the entire product packet. It says that Crestor and Lipitor (and other statins) can accumulate and cause problems/side effects. Looks

Rare Skin Disorder - PLEVA
Went to the dermatologistyesterday to get some funny dark spots remove with liquid nitrogen; they were nothing really to be concerned about but I wanted them removed anyway. While I was there, I also mentioned in passing that I was apparently getting insect bite; lots of them at night while in bed.

Sarcoma or PCa recurrence place your bets!
10 years ago i was treated for a liposarcoma. It was classified as a “dedifferentiated liposarcoma, high grade”. Luckily it was in a very treatable place, was small, and they were able to remove it and like 2 inches of margin in every direction. They followed up with radiation for good measure. 3

‘Game-changing’ operation cures prostate cancer in one hour
I wonder if this procedure would be better for targeting visible PSMA spots and lymph nodes ? It can be repeated in same area -- unlike radiation. by: Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed. buprenorphine for RLS
I have been trying doses of suboxone for RLS. for some people it is magic that gives them there life back. I took all the way up to 8 mg and it didn’t do much 🫤 I don’t get it. We are more experts than the doctors so my question is, does anyone have any clue why 8 mg of buprenorphine would not

How do you cope when your loved one is moved to palliative care with no further treatment?
So we had a follow-up meeting with the oncologist today following my husband's hospital stay last week where they found that the original tumors were growing back despite shrinking after chemo, he has new tumors on both lungs now and tumors on his liver. They are not continuing with treatment and are
