Confused
66 yo, had RALP 3 years ago, Gleason 3X4, cancer in 1 node, PSA after 0.1 and now 10.5 with multiple bone mets on recent scan and minimal pain. Have diffuse coronary artery blockages and refused 5 vessel bypass last year - and am doing well on cardiac meds at this time. All regimens for me at this stage

Xgeva and Bone Mets
Fighting PC since December of 2003. Under Dr. Myers was in long term remission until 2015 when PSA started doubling. With more ADT went to undetectable. New MO suspicious since I am Gleason 9 (5+4). Said that with high Gleason sometimes PSA did not show mets. Bone scan in December last year. Mets

Benefit of statin and metformin in the treatment of high risk CRPC
Hi everyone I have seen that many posts in this forum indicate that the addition of statin and metformin in the treatment of prostate cancer will be beneficial during hormone therapy. In my case I am on second line hormone therapy (Aberaterone + Prednisone ) for the past one year. I have undergone orchiectomy

Friday night blues
So I'm struggling with depression again. It seems to happen often on Friday nights when I'm alone. I am married but not happily, I'd like to split but he won't go and I just know how complicated the fight would get. I know he'd stalk me and we'd spend a fortune on lawyers cause he'd fight everything.

Why doesn’t t3 work for me
I have always known I was hypothyroid, finally dr M. checked my labs, my Rt3 was 21 and free t3 was 3.4. Free t4 was 0.90. I have the other lab values if needed. My a1c , and I have never been diagnosed as a diabetic.... was 5.4. So I was prescribed cytomel 5 mcg and metformin 500er twice a day.

I tend to stick to low carb, high protein and good fats….92% of the time. That and the fact I cut back significantly on alcohol and I maintain a steady enough

One year since surgery
I had my psa test today one year post surgery and it is undetectable. I asked my urologist about getting on metformin and a statin because I have high triglycerides and an a1c of 5.8. He said they have anticancer properties and recommended them.

Treatment update
I’ve been posting here for about six months, but I am always uncomfortable about posting personal updates. I wonder whether I am bragging, whining, boring people or some combination of the above. Regardless, I enjoy reading the experiences of others, both positive and negative. I personally think

Do other medications interact with b12 injections
My mum's b12 level were at 274 last year, she went on to have a TIA. I think it ws caused by years of taking metformin. Her GP refused to give her trial of b12 injections but gave her a private prescription of 5 viles of b12. My question is, is it safe for her to take b12 with the medication she is
