Metformin

Hi, I’m due to start IVF next month. My clinic has put me on a course of Metformin 1500 a day. I don’t have PCOS but I’m on the cusp for being a candidate for getting OHSS. Since I’ve upped my dose to 1500 I’m now hungry all the time, putting on weight around my stomach and having headaches.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I would go back and talk to the doctor. Sounds like maybe the dose is too high and it's making you hypoglycemic and increasing cortisol (hence belly fat). Normally people lose weight with metformin.
