I'm having my operation tomorrow, got to be in the hospital and 7am, I am not a morning person lol, going to be a struggle for me. I'm very nervous, I sort of no what's going to happen. I know there's a chance I'll have to stay in, but I don't no as when I went to have my pre op, the nurse was asking

Epidural for Cystoscopy?
Hi there Has anyone had an epidural for a
cystoscopy
? My new doctor works with this method, my old doctor uses general anaesthetic (which I prefer too). Are there risks for people with chronic back pain and having an epidural? Thanks!

Epidural for Cystopscopy?
I'd swerve that one mate, there's absolutely nothing particularly unpleasant with a
cystoscopy
and its over and done in a couple of minutes.....unless he is talking surgery just a check up doesn't need any anaesthesia. Hope all goes well by the way!

Iv heard I'm more likely to stay in after as the
cystoscopy
can effect you weeing, but I don't no if that's true. Do I have a shower at the hospital before the surgery or is that just gossip aswell? Like what happens when I first get into the hospital, I have no clue and I'm panicking like mad.

In the doldrums - Signed off again
My fortnight hospital note after my lap and
cystoscopy
ended Monday so I went in to work yesterday. Omg it was so painful on my left incision wound in my office chair. First painkillers 30 minutes after sitting down and I could barely walk by the end of the day.

Out the other side. 24hrs post lap and cystoscopy
Phew! Out the other side now. Much tougher than expected. The anaesthetic really burned as it went up my veims, I hadn't expected that. When I woke i was in agony and they had to give me lots of morphine, which then affected my breathing so was in recovery for quite a while. I ended up beimg put on a

Why is it always worse than I thought?
Apparently some was left behind because it wasn't known prior to this lap that I had bladder endo so I hadn't consented for a
cystoscopy
which meant that they couldn't remove it all.

What have your experiences of post op been after heavy work done on endo and damage caused?
They also did a
cystoscopy
and looked inside my bladder for endo - but happily found none. I had a kidney infection within a couple of days, but I think that's cleared now.

Endo in the bladder
He did say he had to shave quite a bit of my bladder down due to adhesions and had to stitch my bladder but doesn't think that's what was seen on
cystoscopy
. I'm so confused as I'm still experiencing a lot of pain and urinary issues.

Mirena coil - positive experiences?
I'm due to have one at the same time as my first lap and
cystoscopy
in a few weeks and getting nervous. I've not had kids and suffer dyspareunia. Does anyone have positive experiences of it helping with Endo and pain and not hurting / bleeding once installed?

I am having a
cystoscopy
next week and not looking forward to it. I made the mistake of going onto google and finding out what it entailed , now I'm more worried. (I hate google).

Extreme Penile Pain - Suspecting Pudendal Nerve Entrapment - Seeking Advice and Hope
I also had my prostate examined by ultrasound and a
cystoscopy
which was also clear. Meanwhile, my pain began to worsen. The last couple weeks the pain there has gotten so intense and acute that I haven't been able to function.

Just had lap
I explained this was op no 4 for me, as I had a gastroscopy, colonoscopy and a
cystoscopy
plus lap in under a year. He said that I could be a candidate for a hysterectomy and I may have adenomyosis! So I had the lap, I think I saw the surgeon just had I was coming out of GA.
