Cystoscopy

The urologist who referred me for the Ultra sound scan and cystoscopy is now away until the 29th August however the NHS have sent me an appointment for the cystoscopy next Friday, 16th.

I felt great for nearly 2 years until cystoscopy on 7/31/24 recommended by MO because of a few very very small clots noted in urine but no real blood noted. After cystoscopy I basically had blood in urine for 5 months every week or two for a couple days at a time.

I went for my flexible cystoscopy this morning. I was seen pretty quick and the doctors and nurses very sensative. The cystoscopy took less that 15 minutes and unfortunately they found a start of a tumor.

Having said all this, this cystoscopy was pretty painful and I had some bleeding, a couple clots in urine, and pain for a couple days. This was my fourth cystoscopy and the prior 3 pre salvage radiation had no or little pain and no blood.

hi I had a flexible cystoscopy which shows plaque like patches - then had a rigid cystoscopy and biopsy was taken of one of the patches . Very worried as waiting for results from the macmillan urology nurse .

So he introduced himself and then started to tell me a change of plan - No more BCG Treatment - No mote TURBT or Ridgid Cystoscopy - I was fast becoming gob smacked.

it may be because of the situation with my husband but I am really stressing out over the cystoscopy process tomorrow. Not the actual procedure but scared stiff if they find cancer or even cells of it. The ultra sound scan was normal and I suppose in my naivety I hoped that was the end of it .

The Cystoscopy wasn’t as scary or uncomfortable as I had thought and Yes PMR Pro better than the dreaded smear test. Its great news. Thank you all for your support and kindness. It meant a lot. Xx

Am pleased to say that the cystoscopy showed no irregularities, all clear and report now being forwarded to urologist . It's a tremendous relief for me and to be able to tell my husband and son they can now stop worrying.

Here is an excerpt from the procedure: "Systematic cystoscopy was performed. This revealed diffuse tumor involvement of the bladder floor. This distorted the anatomy that without the indwelling ureteral stent, I would not be able to identify the right ureteral orifice.

I had a flexible cystoscopy under local where there were some plaque like material in the lining of the bladder . The doctor said I would need to have a general anaesthetic and a rigid cystoscopy and bladder biopsy.

I received my hospital appointment and saw Urologist within the two weeks pathway, He decided on a Cystoscopy and I am having that Tomorrow. It’s a scary time but hopefully all will be well. Will let you know how it goes .

I have had a cystoscopy and was told that everything looked normal and not suggestive of interstitial cystitis and they took some biopsies (waiting for results of those). I guess the point of this post is to ask if anyone is in a similar situation?

Again, the oncologist feels this could be from the radiation, but my urologist has scheduled me for a cat scan and cystoscopy to rule out bladder cancer. Just when I was feeling good about things I get hit in the head with this.

Early February, he has a cystoscopy to monitor him for bladder cancer. (bladder cancer dx 2020) A lot going on Thanks so much to this community for your support and wise counsel.

Had my CT urogram a couple of weeks ago then a bladder cystoscopy yesterday. Consultant who did the scope told me my urine sample from bloody urine showed infection, CT scan ok and scope yesterday ok so free to go.
