Unemployed agoraphobic mom
Hi everyone. Hoping to get some advice. I feel so run down and tired of fighting everyday just to barely function. I recently separated from my husband. I feel better now that I am not at the mercy of his anger and his bad temper. But at the same time I feel somewhat hopeless and helpless because my

Not your place to say
Today I went to the doctor cause I wasn't officially diagnosed with anxiety. The doctor told me she wanted to me to go to counseling because it would benefit me. I dont want to go. I'm one of those people that hate asking for help and hate to talk to other people about my problems. I dont want people

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Apologies for the long post! So today I went for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Once you get over the initial claustrophobic feeling in the chamber and relax it’s an amazing treatment that has many scientific proven results. I’m lucky enough I have an MS Centre that offers this treatment for £10

Need Advice
If anyone is listening I could use some advice. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for over 20 years. Most of my issues can be attributed to my work history. I am a perfectionist and have a difficult time dealing with mistakes and negative feedback. I currently work at a job that I struggle

Is being stressed and worried unimportant?
Recently, my partner ghosted on me for days and I was driven mad, I was worried because he mentioned in a short reply that he "has no will to live". Imagine the days I kept on calling and texting but no reply. I couldn't sleep, my heart raced like mad and I get tearful easily. I was so scared. I went

I’m currently going to counseling trying to find away out of the dark places. I’m functioning and smile and do all my daily things but then there are days when i shut down. Like the pretending to function has worn me out. I feel a lot of times I’m just feeling sorry for myself wishing things were

Worrying about worrying
So, got the new meds, been on them since Saturday. I have to admit, I do feel much calmer and more in control now than I did before. Now I am dealing with the aftermath - all the what if questions, and that still has me anxious and apprehensive. I decided that I need more regular counselling, which

Methylation - was gobblydegook but now I'm understanding it
I have received a random email from Dr Mark Hyman regarding Methylation. When I had my legally required counselling with the result of my DIO2 gene test, the counsellor talked at great length about Methylation & she was recommending I take a test to check my methylation. I couldn't take in what she

You are a blessing to me!
As my symptoms change/increase (I have PSP-cerebellar ataxia with dementia, or so I’ve been told by a neurologist and a neuro/psych specialist) I have started to check into this site more and more for information. It has helped me stay ahead of the “game” as no one in my family talks to me about this

Med free!
It has been officially 3 weeks of no depression. Meds and I feel like a brand new person! I feel even better then when I was on all the meds! I was feeling very suicidal and self harm in a daily basis it only got worse when they added an extra new med to the mix so I stop taking them and notice improvement

Beat me up with a very big stick? No thanks, I'll do it myself.
I've just had a read online about carer's guilt. Is it just the pages I have found? Or are they all so smooth and lacking any gut reality tone with regard to the hard work, the 'fails', remorse and exhaustion? Then for many of us there is occasional resentment about what has happened to our own lives

My cycle averages at between 30 to 35 days in now on day 39 yesterday i had the tiniest amount of brown

When you’re having counselling right in the middle of 2 week wait and the counsellor asks you how the pregnancy is going 😤 [not a trained fertility counsellor but has been told how ivf works] ....and then later when you explain it’s the uncertainty that’s getting you down she thinks you mean you are

Decision made. Onto the next step.
Hi all, So thank you for your comments the last week or so. They have helped me process what I and my partner want to do next following the third failed IVF cycle. It comes down to wanting a family, starting that next stage as soon as we can...and to start living again without the black cloud

Marriage counseling
Today my wife and I went to therapy. We have been together for 20 years and I’m afraid this is the end of us. I feel so judged and often made to feel that I’m the reason for our trouble. I’ve been sleeping in another room and I can’t imagine ever sharing a bed together. It been lousy for some time and

Introducing myself!
Good afternoon. After joining a few months ago it's finally time I got round to introducing myself & using the site more. I'm a single lady living in the Midlands. I have recently been diagnosed with M.E/CFS but have always wanted a family. Previous long term relationship broke down after 15 years
