Crisis counseling

I had a crisis intervention team come out. My family has taken me to get treatment and medical help. I am currently under medical care. Seeing a psychiatrist and therapist as well as my primary doctor. I am taking an extended leave of absence from work. I feel sad.

My wife had been suffering from breathing difficulties for a little while. She’s in her late 50s and in otherwise good health. When her breathing got worse an enlarged heart RHS was found. She’s was then found to have severe triscupid valve regurgitation and moderate pulmonary valve regurgitation.

We have tried counseling him at home, being gentle, being harsh, punishment (no TV/toys), but nothing seems to work and he is not making progress. The only things he has to say about his behavior are that "it's boring" and "please stop asking me".

I have gotten professional counseling and EMDR treatment. However, I feel a need for an in-person support group. I have done some research and haven’t found anything other than through the Veterans Administration. I am not a veteran. So, I am taking steps to start a group in my community.
