I apologize for my last post
Hi all, I’m crawling out of my hole some more today. I realize I may not have been clear with my past and it was taken out of context. To clarify, no, my husband isn’t abusive, he just has alot of past trauma himself and was triggered and really stressed out and handled it in bad a way. I realize now

I’m not coping with my dad’s diagnosis at all (GP is aware and I’ve referred myself for some
counselling
). I mean by dad is now home and under the care of myself and my mum but I just can’t seem to get my head around all of the changes; any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Assessment from Psychiatrist and Psychologist counseling
Hello everyone, I visited a Psychiatrist for my ADHD issue, dr. prescribed Atomoxetine Attera 18mg tablets once every day and to increase the dose after a week, he also recommended to get Psychologist tested and counseling to test my intelligence. FYI, Atomoxetine is not a cure, I need to take it consistently

Just diagnosed… questions about medication
We are looking for an adhd coach and plan on doing biweekly
counselling
so that we can learn coping mechanisms to pass onto our kids too (because I heard it’s common in families).

SIDE EFFECTS OF PRAMIPEXOLE - PARANOIA
Because I am rational about it the doctor doesn’t think it is the Pramipexole and has prescribed me Citalopram for anxiety and suggested
counselling
. Neither has helped. Does anyone else have this side effect? Lois Burke

ADHD or something else?
My ADHD spouse will eat everything in the refrigerator, even if it belongs to someone else or was for a group. He eats dozens of cookies baked as gifts, an entire tray of meat balls cooked for shared dinner. I at one point had a locked food cage to keep him off of other peoples things. When asked

Update
Hello all! I’ve been away for a while. I wanted to work on taking control of my anxiety. I’ve been learning to live better with my Generalized Anxiety Disorder. GAD. My doctor wants to refer me to a specialist. They’d be able to better analyze what medication I needed and provide counseling. I’m hopeful

Am I just making symptoms fit?
After struggling with anxiety and depression for years and countless sessions of
counselling
, I'm wondering if I could have adult ADD. I have been reading a lot of articles and posts and it's like I wrote them about myself.

Lost & alone. Please help
My husband of 33 years feels the need to correct my behavior. While I am grateful he no longer does so in public, my father-in-law and my son have stood up to this behavior in the past, he still feels the need to do so in private. The shame and humiliation I feel are still there. Now that I have been

The struggle is getting worse for my 18-year-old daughter. She was diagnosed with depression, PTSD, anxiety, and ADHD a year ago. Medication for depression appears to be working. She has bounced from Adderal to Strattera to Ritalin currently to treat ADHD. Failing 3 classes presently her senior

Is this an intrusive thought?
IS THIS OCD? Long story short, I’ve always had forms of OCD and recently developed harm ocd. It’s by far the most disturbing form. I have counseling and have a session this week but just wanted to hear from others with this horrible disease. I was in my kitchen and saw a large fork thought about it

Shame getting in the way of self love and progress. Suggestions?
Hello, I am 24 years old and have struggled with OCD most of my life. I have months or years when it's easier than others. I have been solely obsessive in my mind with occasional bouts of severe compulsive behaviors. I have been out of counseling for about 4 months now, and I'm attempting to continue

*sensitive* pregnancy after miscarriage
Hi, I have recently found out I am pregnant following a miscarriage 3 years ago and some fertility treatment. My anxiety is pretty high as I have the same symptoms as last time I miscarried. I have registered for NHS counseling through IAPT but there is a long wait. Can anybody recommend a private counsellor

Looking for pointers: long term (chronic) fatigue, now fibromyalgia
Did a degree and masters in
counselling
psychology (between 30-40 yr's age) so able to function. But I'd be best described as low energy: have to put the head down at times for an hour / wrecked for the day if sleep interrupted / unable to burn the candle at both ends.
