Treatment for perimenopausal symptoms and PBC
I’ve booked a
counselling
appointment through the Australian menopause society who provide support and advice. However, I doubt they will know much about PBC. I’ve found GPs do not know about it either.

Two Years On - What Treatment?
They offered me one-to-one
counselling
for 10 sessions, which is all they could offer since their other offer was anti-depressants [which make my seizures worse].

Worries are through the roof since BFP 😞
My OH picked up on my sadness last night and after talking it through, we came up with two options…do a POAS test routinely and seek
counselling
. I know I need to break the cycle but I just can’t get there myself. I’ve tried walking but this just gives me more time to think.

Struggling
I do feel like a ticking time bomb, and just don't know what to do, time isn't on my side, possibly already too late as I'm 42 in July - so I don't know whether to try
counselling
to get over never being a biological mum, or have one last try, so I know I've at least done everything I can?

Struggling with impact on older children
When I was in hospital after PP last summer, I had amazing
counselling
on offer for me, for my partner, for my bonding with my baby. But, nothing for how my PP episode had impacted my older child. my son, who is now six, started to become very anxious about being left alone.

I have had quite a bit of therapy in the past (psychotherapy, CBT, Psychotherapy group, Drama and Music therapy), but that was all over 10 years ago and more recently I have had

I’ve tried
counselling
which helped kind of connect the dots and having someone acknowledge that my feelings are hard but I just can’t see a future for myself when I’m so dependent and constantly craving validation.

antipsychotic withdrawal
I’m studying
counselling
because I’d love to be an online support worker or home practise counsellor. The worlds not built very well for people like us. psychiatrist has referred me for more therapy but that will take time. Anyway, how has everyone else managed coming off antipsychotics?

SLE diagnosis, potential PTSD
more recently I’ve returned to
counselling
due to a decline in my mental health. After about a month of sessions my counsellor started mentioning PTSD and has asked me to fill in an assessment, it’s scarily accurate. Is this something others have experienced?

Reasonable Adjustments
I’m waiting on specialist
counselling
. I trained as a health care worker 13years ago and have been working since until summer this year when I had a traumatic incident at work. This set me back a lot and contributed to my flares. So I gave up work and resigned.

Been Terminated from work after nearly 20 years
I have had
counselling
since July 2023 and it has now finished. Iam not sure about applying for PIP as I did it for my mother who is 81 and they turned us down in February this year. Life is cruel 💔 Now concentrate on my health and well-being which is not good.

Impact of RA on my daughter..
Since diagnosis I now only work 2 days and we rely on universal credit (god knows how I’ll cope when that runs out) But my reason for posting is I don’t know how to help my daughter.. trying to get her
counselling
through the NHS would take forever, and I feel so guilty that this is all my fault.

constipation and tummy pain now led to food anxiety
The doctor has said we have to self refere to the local
counselling
service, the GP will keep an eye on her weight as this is dropping. Is there anyone else who could help? We have a first appointment with the continence nurse at the end of the month.
