Have you discussed this with your haematologist? They would be your ’go to’ doctor while on Imbruvica (ibrutinib).

Estoy en Argentina y es fin de semana festivo y no lo encuentro.
Tengo que ir a un medico de urgencias ..aca no se conoce ibrutinib ni las ineracciones medicamentosas
Is it for bone and joint pain, or part of your regular schedule?A friend took steroids for bone pain at first, but that side effect resolved after a little time. I would definitely ask your doctor about both when you can.
Solo por sinusitis con tos
You might get helpful information from the pharmacist at the special pharmacy from which you get Ibrutinib. I get mine from Onco360. The pharmacist has a detailed database of drugs that are acceptable or contraindicated with Ibrutinib. He has looked things up for me on a number of occasions. I'm guessing this access allows the pharmacist to have better information, in some instances, than our doctors.
Hi Bixilon,
I was prescribed cortisone twice during my leukemia treatment. The first was a low daily dose of prednisone to reduce inflammation from antibodies, and the second, another brand, was to treat the itchy skin which was driving me to distraction.
I was not aware of any problems caused by the interactions of ibrutinib and cortisone, but cortisone medications have their own long list of side effects, so I was pleased to get off them.
Best wishes, Peter
I was told cordisone interacts with imbrutinib...check withyour pharmacist..I could not take it.
There was a point when it looked like I might need Prednisone (back when I was having digestive issues) and my CLL Specialist gave me his Blessing to take it. Then again, he doesn't seem to restrict me much....lol!
In actuality our numbers and overall "status" might be a big deciding factor, so definitely check with your Specialist.
Best Regards.
Thank you!
