Rectum pain & cortisone stereod shots

I go tomorrow for my first shot and am terrified!! I have been having severe rectum pain since June. It started with a Hemorrhoidectomy and the pain has never left. I always feel like I have a full bowel a lot and most of the time I don’t and the pain is crazy.. any suggestions?

Hello since it may be due to pudenal neuralgia as you mentioned you always feel preasure and pain then perhaps the nerve block might ease the pain. I understand you are anxious .

Good luck with you're cortisone shot. I had one in April it didn't hurt but it only eased my pain for a few days. I hope yours lasts a long time.

The injection isn't nearly as bad as you are thinking. I have had several and they do seem to help some people. It is certainly worth the try. Don't feel anxious.

It is 9 days post steroid injection, CT guided. It has not been successful to relieve my PN pain. That is just me, it does work for many people for a long time. Tell us about your experience.

I had gotten my shot two days ago now. Could barely move yesterday but now today I’m doing a bit better DEFINTELY tolerable compared to before! I was diagnosed with coccydynia! Anyone else have this?
