Methotrexate- a better option than Azathioprine? What other options are they with less harm for lupus people?
Despite interrupting it, I Was admitted to the hospital last week for pleurisy, and I am still here, and I'm currently taking
cortisone
. I Also had pericarditis last October and in March this year, and in general I have flares constantly.

Adrenal fatigue help please !
Hello everyone , I've recently had the saliva adrenal test done, and the picture doesn't look good. So I would really appreciate some encouraging comments from you amazing people who've also struggled ? I am feeling so fatigued, very low, lack of concentration and almost tearful at times. Plus rubbish

having a low day. Need to let it out
Having a bad morning. Anxiety sits in the pit of my stomach sometimes my brain feels like it's on fire. I have a fear of death. But more the fear of how I feel when I fear death if that makes sense. I just can't feel like I belong here in this life anymore. Like life is like some strange phenomenon.

What do you think of this facial redness in my photo?
I have other photos that I would like an opinion on if it looks like a butterfly rash. I have many symptoms of lupus but I also have thyroid disease that caused me to have my thyroid removed. I have low cortisol, migraines, complex partial seizures, terrible exhaustion, bruising, hair falling out,

HELP! - I'm about to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia
I finally got my recent blood results (including T3) and got to see my GP. He said all my results are normal, including my thyroid results and B12. The only problem he can see is high serum osmolality and he will refer me to endocrinologist to check for diabetes insipidus – very rare disease affecting

Must treat the cause, not the symptom.
Cream after cream,
cortisone
injection etc etc and it is just getting worse. Now booked an appointment with a internist. Booked a month ago and can only get in in August. But I will post again and let you know if there is any positive outcome from seeing the internist.

Immune dysfunction
I don't see many people talking about their immune issues with their hypothyroid problems so I am never entirely sure how much my immune issues ARE down to the thyroid. I have repeated problems with what feel like a kind of cold virus but it rarely comes out into a full blown cold. I feel very tired

18 month old Toddler with low cortisol reading?
Hi my son has been poorly in one form or another since birth. He has server acid reflux, has had a hypoglycemic attack with a blood sugar level of 2.5, had pneumonia at 6 months which then led to all kinds of viruses. He has an inhaler and is extremely as sensitive to dairy. He hates any kind of sunlight

How to treat psoriasis?
At the moment my feet and hands are going through an eruption, my dermatologist has prescribed a cream with
cortisone
but doesn't seem to have much effect. Bearing in mind I have to wash my hands after using this cream I do wonder if there is something else that I can use.

Private Endocrinologist
Hi everyone. Please can someone help, I feel like I'm at my wits end with all this now and don't know what to do next. I sent my GP referral letter to the private endocrinologist for my low cortisol level and new symptoms and have now been told by them that it'll be at least a few weeks until I'm seen

Help please! Adrenal fatigue?!? Addison?!?
two months ago I've found ACTH (and Ferritin) marginally over max limit while blood cortisol normal. Salivary cortisol was normal, though on the low side for the day Urinary cortisol 24h average was normal, so is blood cortisol taken this week but ACTH increased even more. What could this be? Addison

Update
He wanted to do the caudal epidural
cortisone
injection but I told him to wait a bit longer for that. He found my spine and movements ok , except the nerve pain. He is going to revise me in a week time.

Anyone taking Adrenavive II for low cortisol?
I have been researching adrenavive and I was just wondering if anyone on here takes it and has seen an improvement? My understanding is that Adrenavive II contains cortex only (no adrenalin) which is better for the adrenals. Look forward to hearing from you.

Gel/cortisone injection
I had a gel/
cortisone
injection in my left hip on Monday the 12th and at first I felt really good. However, the injection itself only lasted several hours after I had the injection.. Now it's the 3rd day after the injection and it seems to have been working pretty well.

You have a course of
cortisone
and a nurse of your choice, which you pay, comes to your home and do them. Not necessarily they need to be epidurals. Lots of people have a course in this way and are well healed from sciatica or other pains problems. Do they do this in UK?
