Cortisone injection in middle finger
Just wondering if anyone has had a
cortisone
injection in a finger and if it helped? My middle finger has swelled and lumps have appeared which i am guessing are bone spurs and would like to hear from anyone who has had this done and did it help. Thanks

Low cortisol and TSH
Hi everyone. This is my first post as I have felt too unwell to go into it all until now. I'm afraid it is quite a saga but here goes... In November last year I started feeling really unwell and getting fevers all the time. The fevers have now gone. I now get a stinging pain going through my back, abdomen

Very concerned about thyroid lab results
I'm sorry if this post is long but I have been having a fight with my GP for a long time. I was diagnosed with hypo around 15 years ago as I was feeling extremely tired and weak. I suspected hypo as my mother had it. I had also been diagnosed 5 years earlier with severe depression and advised after

Depression.
I was wondering if anyone knows what the 'physiology' of
cortisone
/ depression is and what I could do to help myself. I can go through days of 'coping' and then it just overwhelms me again for days / weeks.

Advice on blood test results
Advice would be gratefully received. I'm recently diagnosed Hypothyroid. I've been taking 0.25 of Levothyroxine for 8 weeks and feel much better. I'm also taking 1 capsule of Veg EPA E-EPA 70% and 1 capsule of nutri advanced AdrenoMax, following a gluten free diet and 20 days in on Bionutri ecobalance

Cortisol test advice wanted
Hi, I have a cortisol blood test booked for Wednesday morning and the GP has prescribed a low dose of dexamethasone to be taken at midnight before the test. Apparently this will avoid any stressors in the morning affecting my result. He mentioned this as a test for Cushing's which I think is high cortisol

Scaredo and confused
This time I got a painful
cortisone
Injection in my shoulder. 3 days later I'm in the ER hurting in my neck and left arm so bad I'm crying. For me to cry with pain takes alot. They do 2 pressure point injections that hurt way worse than the pain I was having. 4 days later.

Cortisol results
I've been feeling fatigued this year, there has been a lot of stressful events happen and I suspect adrenal and or thyroid. My even more recent 24 hr saliva profile via Regenerus labs shows, I'm barely producing cortisol and dhea is very high. They have reported n/mol, but I suspect they mean ng/l, based

Thyroid T3 low
Hi, I have a few questions related to under active thyroid and high cortisol. My T3 is low 4.2 (range is 3.1-6.8) and gp recognised this fact. My serum cortisol and salivary cortisol is high and I have read,I believe, on STTM that if cortisol and iron is not optimal then using T3 or NDT is not advised

Had hip pain he gave me

Hydrocortisone and DSNS
Hi - I was just wondering if there wasn't a possibility that one could transition yo hydro
cortisone
. I understand it's 'safer' (less side effects)
cortisone
- but is it still as effective. I am trying to taper my Pred from 11 to 10 at present - but struggling.

Hi All Could i have some interpretation here? I went to the dr as the symptoms i have been having for the past 1-2 years resonate with cushings syndrome. I know this is rare and hard to diagnose but I have all the symptoms. So ym dr did a full set of bloods, currently waiting for an endo which i

Could these cortisol results cause problems taking thyroid meds?
Hello I've been trying for a few years to get my health sorted: fatigue, hairloss, the usual suspects, including intransgient weight gain. My most recent tests showed high leptin and high fasting insulin (way over what they should be) so I have switched to a no-sugar, almost zero (once a week curry)
