Anyone taking Adrenavive II for low cortisol?

DollyDuck profile image

I have been researching adrenavive and I was just wondering if anyone on here takes it and has seen an improvement?

My understanding is that Adrenavive II contains cortex only (no adrenalin) which is better for the adrenals.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I'm taking it, but building up very slowly!! Last week 1, this week 2, next week 3, etc. Will report back when I get to optimum dose. Good luck.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. You say you are starting with one (assume that's one tablet) how did you find out about dosage, did you see a specialist?

I am also on antidepressants for painful bladder so just hope it doesn't cause havoc!

The Naturopath I'm seeing suggested I try Adrenavive but I decided on the doseage. Will work up to 1 tablet per day as instructed on the bottle.

Is it really necessary to build up ACE slowly...? I am asking because ACE is generally considered weak compared to prescription HC.

Topaz i noticed your post about Adrenavive and wonder if you are taking it for low cortisol or high. I have high evening cortisol and am not sure if it would be appropriate for me. Also is there any guidance on how long you should take it for? thanks

I'm not sure I'm taking it for cortisol! The Naturopath suggested I take it as the Nutri-Adrenal had disappeared. I understand you take it - like thyroid hormone - until your hormones normalise so you dont need it anymore.

Hi, sorry I'm late in the conversation here. I tried it for a few weeks and felt calmer, but also tireder than normal. I am going to give it another try though, because I don't think I gave it long enough. What I should have done was increase it, but I had a lot going on and couldn't risk feeling any worse. (I had the saliva test and showed I had low cortisol in the afternoons). Not sure if that helps you, but you gets lots of good helpful advice on here.

And also was u on thyroid medication while u was on adrenivive 2? Or went off from it completely?

Yes I was on Adrenivive 2 on one tablet in the morning. Not on it anymore, but I will start it again. Not feeling great at the mo, always tired and anxious.

I’m late to the conversation but the AdreneVive description says, “AdreneVive helps to boost immunity and minimize cortisol levels, which increase during times of stress.” So it’s not what I’m looking for as I already have very low cortisol levels from morning to night. I used to take Isocort and it was amazing but it is not made anymore. They made cortisol from wild yam but they don’t say which exact species of the genus Dioscorea it was made from. There are two species of Dioscorea that mention helping with low cortisol. Only one is available so I’m trying it.

There are over 600 plants in the Dioscorea genus. They are used for, “The bulb and roots of wild yams contain a chemical called diosgenin, which can influence the production of several useful hormones in humans, such as estrogen or dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). Consuming wild yam may be a natural way of promoting these hormones in the body, which could have certain medical benefits.”

Anyway, I’m going to try a supplement and see if it helps.

It's just me! I was over-medicated on 2 Nutri-Adrenal so had to take them days apart, so starting slowly with the Adrenavive.

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help as quite honestly nothing seems to make any difference to the way I feel. I have changed to Nutri-Adrenal.

Im on week three of adrenavive 11. YES i felt more energy very quickly! I had high cirtisol at night, as far as im aware my adrenals depleted and needing niurishment, as per glandular adrenavive

I notice change in all ways, taking metavive alongside, expect increases needed soon! Not there yet but not having the awful panicky reactions as b4! Which was really scary

Thank you who told u that on what basis I had adrenal insufficiency? On what dose I started and how u started? Did u start with one capsule? I feel a bit dizzy shorty after taking Adrenavive 1 capsule is this normal and later on the day I feel tiny bit with energy but not much.
