After Effects from a Triple Heart Bypass
Back in September 2022 I had a cardiac arrest and was very lucky to have had a paramedic nearby with some 14 years experience. This lady performed cpr on me and called for a defibrillator. I received one shock and regained consciousness after which I was taken to hospital and on 2nd November 2022 I

Many thanks to all of you who responded to over active / sensitive bladder . My heart is with you because I think it is horrible . Having had a heart bypass and a husband who is disabled I find my energy is not good . I’m not bad in the daytime but as soon as I’m horizontal at night it starts when I

Anyone had EMDR
Hi all like so many on here we all know how our mental health suffers following the sort of cardiac problems we all have. I’ve been told a few times due to My 2 x HT and quadruple CABG all within a month and what I’ve seen at work I probably have PTSD well that’s now been confirmed and I have to say

2023 started on a downer again.
We’ll I thought after my 2 x MI and my quadruple CABG in 2022 I was hoping 2023 would be better and I’m sure it will but yesterday on the first of a new year I ended up at A and E. At least it’s not my heart at least I don’t think so, pain swelling and a lump in my groin, I think it’s an infected lymph

Am suffering misery as unable to sleep because of over active bladder
Does anyone else have this problem? Have been given medication for this problem but it doesn’t really work . The medication itself becomes an irritant ! I have so many visits to the loo at night and have been on the bladder /bowel website which is excellent. However I wonder if any of you have this

Can azathioprine cause chest pains?
Hi, I have been on azathioprine tablets mostly 75mg to 100mg for my Lupus for approximately 20 years. Have been experiencing chest pains on my left side especially after excretion. I had various tests and scans but they are all negative. I had Covid last September and had to stop taking the azathioprine

Reason to be cheerful
Obvs a lot of people are really worried about heart diseases in this forum. TBH I sometimes share those concerns ... but in general I try to post positive reassuring posts about CHD and CAD. I'm 63 (64 in a few days) and have been really busy with a nerdy consultancy project. Quite by chance the project

So fed up, after CABG worse off.
I don't know if anyone remembers me. I had a triple bypass on 16th September followed by internal bleeding, severe AF, a collapsed lung and fluid on the lung. Two days after discharge I was rushed back in to my local hospital with a saddle PE, PEs in both lungs and a clot in my heart. These had clearly

10 months on
my uncle is 10 months on from op, he’s doing well. Bar the odd ache and pain in the chest. It’s not severe. He’s had a 48 hour monitor back start of august and we’ve heard nothing so assume it’s good. He still gets odd down days but is prone to chronic constipation and relied on medication to help him

Persistent AF and breathlessness. Is it likely to be the cause?
I have posted around this topic before, but am in need of help really. I am 56, morbidly obese, most of the weight on my bottom and legs. Arthritis has made walking difficult and so chronically unfit. I take bisoprolol (varying), flecainide 200 mg, omeprazole 20 mg daily. 4-8 wks ago HR 120-130 in Persistent

I had a severe heart attack on Sunday 24thbkine 2024, I’m 33. This has stemmed from an undiagnosed hereditary condition. I have had a stent fitted less than 24 hours ago. I was discharged from hospital today. I feel like I’m grieving and I don’t know why. I’m crying so much on my own, I have a supportive

Ear noise
Hi,almost 4 months after my heart attack and stent fitting I've still got the rather annoying noise or'whooshing' sound in my left ear.Any other experiences on this, does it ever go away? Or lessen...can't hear it during the day as background noise drowns this out,but night time is frustrating...thanks

Angiogram
Good morning everyone firstpost. I have just had an angiogram I now have two narrowed arteries pressure wire test ok, the consultant was rushing between cath labs and said I have reversible ischemia?? Not sure what that means. I would have had a stent if pressure wire test failed. Any insights are welcome

coq10 use for statin muscle pain
Hi , wondering if anyone has experience with taking CoQ10 with a statin as well as blood thinner, specifically Plavix? Prior to having a stent placed in April, I was on a statin only and have read that you should take CoQ10. My cardiologist said take it or don’t take it it doesn’t really matter. It’s
