10 months on

my uncle is 10 months on from op, he’s doing well. Bar the odd ache and pain in the chest. It’s not severe. He’s had a 48 hour monitor back start of august and we’ve heard nothing so assume it’s good. He still gets odd down days but is prone to chronic constipation and relied on medication to help him go. Just wondered what the norm is from bypass surgery and pacemaker

Hello :-)

I am glad your Uncle is still doing so well :-)

I am 2 years post Bypass and I still get aches and pains and I get down to

I think everyone is different how long this all takes but unless there are any changes that concern you I would take it as this is how your Uncles recovery is for him

I have found that all the medications I take have really messed my system up and now have to take something daily to help

As for the monitor he had then as they say no news is good news and I would have hoped had something flagged up they would have contacted him by now

Let us know when he gets his results and hope you are keeping well to :-) x

Thank you for your kind words. This place has helped so much for all of us. Knowing this is here is been so good for him.

He gets odd aches and pains, I am so proud of how well he has done. I am fine it’s taught me to look after my own body, I’ve recently been diagnosed with adhd and my uncle has been incredible

Hello :-)

As I said 2 years on I still get the odd ache and pain but so much better than it was and it will be the same for him to :-)

I am not sure how you feel about your diagnosis you have just had but how wonderful how things work you have been such a support to your Uncle and now he is supporting you with your diagnosis you two have such a lovely relationship :-) x

Thank you, it’s been a journey, myself my mum and him have been on. He’s pretty much always lived with mum his little sister, she’s very good when he has his down days.

I do feel lucky to have him in my life and the loss of my own dad, which is only time I’ve seen my uncle cry. You value what you have. I’m still learning about my adhd and very fresh. He’s definitely been supportive

Hello :-)

It will take time to learn about your adhd and how to start to make changes but you have a lovely close family unit and with that lovely Uncle of yours you will get there to :-)

I know you will all keep looking after each other :-) x
