Blood results
Hi all, Following on from the very useful help and advice I received on my previous posts, I have some blood results back and am hoping for some advice this time. My B12 came back in the normal range but low and my ferritin came back only just scraping into the normal range (results attached).

Yearly blood test
I take it many of you have reached the time when you are having your yearly blood test after heart bypass. I just wondered how conclusive and accurate you have found the results.

How do I know if I'm fixed? Calling all runners!
Hi, I'm a 59 year old male who's been running (Half and full Marathon) for about 12 years (previously a regular swimmer and cyclist). I've always been fit and lived what I thought was a healthy lifestyle, never smoked, little alcohol, avoided fast foods, minimal red meat, mostly chicken and fish. I

what next heart rate high again and I am now symptomatic
I had heart bypass 2013 and pacemaker 2015 due to af and low hr. Then 3 years ago I started taking digoxin to lower high heart rates and it seemed to work. I have just been to Spain on holiday and ended up hospitalised 2 days due to chest pain and breathless all tests revealed no heart attack, echocardiogram

PET Scan results -total ischemic burden 4%
I just got the results of my PET Scan and it was "total ischemic burden 4%". My cardiologist said "we start to worry when it is 10%. It must be a false positive. If that was a true result you would be feeling like there was an elephant on your chest." He didn't go into any further explanations. So I

isosobardene and sharp burning pain in centre of chest and also in abdomen. Allergic reaction?
Since starting isosobardene for angina, I am experiencing what I think is panic attacks, but my cardiac doc says it can also be unstable angina.I think it may be an extreme version of 'flushing' or some form of reaction. I never had this until after an angiogram and being put on this medication. I write

After Effects from a Triple Heart Bypass
Back in September 2022 I had a cardiac arrest and was very lucky to have had a paramedic nearby with some 14 years experience. This lady performed cpr on me and called for a defibrillator. I received one shock and regained consciousness after which I was taken to hospital and on 2nd November 2022 I

Am suffering misery as unable to sleep because of over active bladder
Does anyone else have this problem? Have been given medication for this problem but it doesn’t really work . The medication itself becomes an irritant ! I have so many visits to the loo at night and have been on the bladder /bowel website which is excellent. However I wonder if any of you have this

heart bypass graph
I’m still on the virtual ward. It’s been 3 weeks now. I’m waiting for a bypass graph. Has anybody been on a virtual ward and how long where you on it . I still got no news of my bypass graph. I’m just wondering how long people have had to wait for theirs. I’ve got a 99 per cent blockage in my left artery

10 months on
my uncle is 10 months on from op, he’s doing well. Bar the odd ache and pain in the chest. It’s not severe. He’s had a 48 hour monitor back start of august and we’ve heard nothing so assume it’s good. He still gets odd down days but is prone to chronic constipation and relied on medication to help him
