Down to 9 and had GCA flare 12/30/2020. Visual and jaw claudification. Treated in ER and Now back at 60. Devastated. Will l ever get off

Had stent inserted July then again in December, chest pain has never truly gone away,
Has or is anyone else having this problem, also constantly worried that any pain is another heart attack

Heart attack
Hi I haven’t posted anything in a while . On the 19 dec I woke up with horrific chest pain . Ambulance called turned out I was having a major heart attack and needed a stent fitted . Got all that sorted a week in hospital .. back home I rested was good . After two weeks I managed the stairs by myself

GCA patient saw cardiologist yesterday, med changes
Hi all: So I took, my weatherman to Cardiologist yesterday. Routine checkup, because of the history of CABG 2005 and stent replacement last year and occasional chest pain with flareups. So during his visit yesterday, Mac told cardiologist about needing nitro 3x in one week with symptoms of GCA. This

A new path - 6 weeks after Aortic Valve and Root Op
Hi, Today (6 weeks and 2 days) my surgeon has 'discharged' me following telephone follow-up conversation. Based on my description of current level of exercise and discomfort (close to zero) along with a photo of my scar taken this morning I am: - able to drive; and - removing PPI (unless indigestion

Hello.
Hello I'm a 40 year old father of 2. Noticed I was having episodes of chest pain while cycling back in August. After a Heart CT I underwent an angiogram on 17th Dec with 35mm stent fitted in the LAD. I'm now on all manner of medication and quite frankly feel rubbish. Aching and shivery and generally

Another unique mystery about the liver.
Every now and again I like to post some interesting facts about this most wonderous organ. Those of you who have completed the two online liver courses, "Liver Disease: Looking after Your Liver" and "Liver Transplant: the Ins and Outs" will know of Dr Patricia Laylor. Back in 2017 Dr Laylor and I

HEART FAILURE
I would like some advice - I had open heart surgery in June of 2018 with bypass surgery. Since Wednesday, I have been diagnosed as in heart failure due to a calcium build up in a vessel close to the heart causing a lack of BP to my lower torso, and in the first instance causing swollen ankles. Should

I’m new here - How did you recover from a heart attack at 52 years old
I’m 52, exercise regularly and eat an ok diet. I had a heart attack this week whilst cycling. Had a stent fitted and need another one in two weeks. This has really shocked me and I’m pretty frightened of what the future holds. What do I need to do to get back to some normality?
