Hello :-)

I was on these a couple of years and when it was time to stop them they just said stop no weaning or anything just stop them

I had no side effects at all in fact they had started to give me nose bleeds really bad so when I stopped them they did to which was a bonus

If you are unsure maybe ask your pharmacist or if you can manage to speak with a Doctor but most people I do believe when they are told they no longer need to take them they just stop them :-) x

I’ve just come off these, doctor was adamant that I stop, no weaning off. Not had any problems that I’m aware of.

Big bonus is I’ve stopped bruising badly and definitely don’t bleed as badly as I did when on them.

I feel better too, I had some side effects, joint pain.

No, just stop taking them. No ill effects at all. It's quite normal to just stop after 12 months.

No you just stop ! I also had many tablets left and took them to the chemist for disposal

Yep. Same here. No cutting down, just stopped after 12 months, no problems. I was delighted to be taking one less tablet, with the bonus of no more easy large bruising !! Good luck.

Hello, I just stopped, wonderful as fewer tablets. It was no problem...remember to stay well hydrated to help blood keep flowing well 🙂

My husband just stopped after a year because his discharge notice said take for 12 months but he had to ask the GP as no-one actually told him what to do and the hospital don't offer follow-ups. No ill effects and, like everyone else, glad to stop all the terrible bruising. The aspirin still causes bruising on his arms but not as bad as the Ticagrelor
