How effective is fenofibrate for itch?
My doctor suggested a few different drugs, like rifampricin, naltrexone, and fenofibrate for my itch. He prescribed fenofibrate as he thinks it works best. Does anyone here take it and if so, has it helped? I'm worried about the warnings it comes with about severe liver damage.

Donor egg to blastocyst conversion
Hello all, So I found out donor egg collection was today (12 collected, 9 mature) and I'm wondering about how many blastocysts I might get. I don't know the fertilisation rate. It was poor with my own eggs (assuming due to age). My partner does have only 3% morphology but apparently that is a minor issue

My Grim anniversary, Vaccine Type and Timing
With multiple fall vaccines now in use it seems timely to share our experience and advice on the timing of them. This has been discussed briefly in various threads. I invite comments on the below: In the past there was just an annual flu shot and its timing was just "sometime in the fall". No other

covid?
I was really congested so I took a Covid test. Unsure if there’s a faint line in the first picture. I took another test and was negative. I’m supposed to see my boyfriend but I’m so worried. I don’t think I can handle isolation again. Do you see a faint line in the first test?

THE LITTLE PILL THAT PROMOTES WEIGHT LOSS, NO DRUGS NEEDED
An ingestible device inflates in the stomach to provide satiety and then quickly disintegrates and leaves the body naturally. The weight-loss market is, pun perhaps intended, huge. Recent years have seen the advancement of dieting drugs, but many of these include painful injections and a whole

dengue fever vaccinate or not?
I started off on 15mg Pred in October and am now down to 10mg. I am off to India (Rajasthan) in February and dengue fever vaccine has been suggested. As it is a live vaccine I am not sure whether having the vaccine is worth the risk of contracting dengue. Any advice? Also big thanks to the community

Buprenorphine
Hello, have many UK people found it easy or hard to get Buprenorphine px by GP to control pain from RLS? I have been withdrawing from Pramepexole and using only codeine however it is now not effective in controlling my pain. I have a GP appointment in a few days and was going to ask for Buprenorphine

Ginkgo - possible adverse side effect: Nervous anxiety
It's me again. On about Ginkgo as usual... Having taken Ginkgo for over 6 months, and having planned relief from Tinnitus by doing so, I may have experienced a side effect. Recent bouts of nervous anxiety. This is not the kind of anxiety you might experience in a dentist waiting room. No, this is

FET in 4 days and nasty cold
I am so worried now, our FET is this Thursday and some nasty cold got me this weekend. I am afraid to take any cold/flu meds so it won't mess up with my lining etc 🙈 Has anyone been not well before or during transfer and it affected the outcome?

dipyridamole
I’m going to try this next week when I get an Rx. Looking for any pointers from anyone who has had success with it. I gather that 225mg is a common dose for RLS (three 75mg pills). I intend to start with one pill and titrate up to three quickly if there are no issues. I’m currently using buprenorphine

Hearing aids and work
Hi, I started using hearing aids earlier in the year (moderate to severe loss, with profound at the highest frequencies). I’m only in my mid 50s and have close to 10 years working left. As with a lot of office workers I’m now spending an awful lot of time on MS teams. I’m really struggling with headphones

prednisone and antibiotics
Has anyone had a problem with antibiotics wiping out prednisone. Was down to 2.5-lowest in 8 years. Took antibiotics (Bactrim) and all old PMR symptoms came back. Hurt all over. Read Bactrim and Cipro are quinolones and do not work well with Steroids. Neither Dr or pharmacist knew this. Not sure how

Prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day for hip bursitis is that dangerous with Pred
I was prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day yesterday for bursitis ? on right hip. Pain is so bad dr. gave a steroid injection. Suggested I take up to 4g of Paracetamol if necessary. Just read of NHS site that Naproxine and Pred are not compatible. Is this true for short time use? If so what

2nd FET protocol for 4th embryo transfer
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice on FET protocols. I’ve had 2 fresh rounds of IVF treatment and one frozen. The first cycle of IVF resulted in two embryos. We transferred one embryo, which resulted in a BFN. For our frozen round we also got a BFN. For our next fresh round our consultant suggested
