New women’s health strategy for England aims to end decades of inequality
This is a ten-year strategy. I find it difficult to believe that this can possibly correct decades of inequality in that sort of timescale. And the delays that have already occurred hardly help in fostering such a belief. However, it is still better that something is published, that something

hormonal birth control after laparoscopy
hello! I'm hoping for advice. I'm 25, I've been diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis and got a laparoscopy 8 days ago, where they removed endo implants from the back of the uterus. My doubt is about birth control. Now I've been prescribed to go back to Femodette again. I took femodette

Third episode of persistent AF in 6 months
I had a successful cardioversion on Christmas eve and then another one just 4 weeks ago. Gutted because I went into persistent AF again yesterday. I take Edoxaban and have tried to take Flecainide but it makes me dizzy and very sick. I tried the "pill in pocket " yesterday but it did not work.

Progesterone only pill experiences
So it turns out I had a TIA (mini stroke). As I'm only in my early 40's, don't drink or smoke, am not overweight and am physically fit my only risk factor is my pill. Dr has recommended I switch to a progesterone only pill as there is a lower stroke risk factor. I agonised over going on the pill as

I’m 4DP5DT

Any Advice for Dealing with Pain?
My doctor suspects that I'm suffering from endo and has referred me to gynae and for an ultrasound. The waiting list for Gynae is 1 year and I've been put on the pill in the meantime. The pain is really bad and is relentless. Painkillers don't really do very much but. A hot water bottle does ease

Do I need to take hormones to suppress endo? What are you experiences of different hormones?
Hi, I just had my gynae appointment following lap and confirming endo. They said that because I want to have children (but not currently in a situation to) I am better to take hormones now than leave it and to have worse issues in five years time. I can’t have combined pill due to risk of stroke and

Cancelled cycle due to cyst
Has anyone experienced a cyst and ivf cycle cancellation. What treatment did they recommend? Did your cyst go eventually? I’ve been advised to continue with birth control until 3 more weeks. Have another period and then commence again.
