Contraception and Lupus
Hi. Bit of a personal and private post in asking others opinions, but if you don't ask, you won't know. Just wondered if anyone who has SLE has had 'insertion contraceptives' as opposed to the pill and: Are they a good thing? How does it effect your Lupus or you etc..? If so, any advice you would give

Feeling pelvic pain everyday, GP told me looks like endometriosis?
Hi! I am posting here because I'm a bit desperate. I always have had painful periods. I took the contraception pill for 4 years, which helped a lot but I stopped 3 years ago to have a break. My period has been much better since then (some pain, but I could totally handle it) but then during the first

Wiggly and wobbly legs from iron deficiency?
Anyone feel the RLS in their legs and everything, and then when you try to get up and move around you just feel too weak to keep standing? These past 2 days have been bad. I don’t know how to stop the restlessness. I was drifting in and out of sleep at around 11:30 PM, and every time I woke up I’d

What questions to ask my doctor?
Also, at the last appointment, she mentioned changing my contraception from the pill to the
contraceptive
injection or the
implant
and I was just wondering if anyone had any previous experiences with these methods of contraception?

Hi everyone. They put me on birth control periods and I feel even worse. The stomach pains are worse and I’m itchy and nauseated all the time. The only thing that had stopped is bleeding but I’m in more pain . I need advice I’m losing my mind

3 months post laparoscopy. Is it normal to still be having these symptoms...?
I've just come across this forum and I am really hopeful you all can help me better understand what is happening as Im beginning to feel rather hopeless about it all... Im 19 years old and I had a laparoscopy 3-4 months ago to diagnose and then to treat moderate to severe endo following years of worsening

Should I be worried about high prolactin?
Around 3/4 months ago I had a blood test after coming off the contraceptive pill. They found my levels of prolactin were really high. I wasn't too bothered at the time because I wasn't experiencing any of the symptoms associated with it. The doctor told me prolactin can be raised in times of stress and

Booked to get a Mirena fitted and am worried - any good news stories?!
Hi everyone, I'm quite new to the endo world and have read so many horror stories that I wondered if any of you have had a positive experience of getting the Mirena fitted. I first went to my GP about 14 months ago (I appreciate this is a quick timescale in the grand scheme of things!) with heavy/late

Progestin only birth control help!!
I started the POP birth control about a month and a half ago. I am home from uni and having regular sex with my boyfriend and wanted a reliable way to prevent pregnancy. However I’ve now been bleeding constantly for 3 weeks, so I’m not having sex, so it feels pointless to be on the pill. Will this even

Hi everyone, I have been in chronic pain since august (it started of with a bad fever and pain in my lower and upper right abdomen), and it stops me from being able to work, sit up for more than 3 hours or walk more than 5 minutes. Is someone taking more than Venlafaxine 300 ?
Hi, I'm on 300 mg Venlafaxine , but unfortunately it is not working anymore. One Dr suggested to increase the dosage. Another Dr suggested to add a pill that stabilize the mood. Maybe to change the pill? Although I'm afraid and is there a pill that can work after Venlafaxine?

Ovary and pelvic pain but ultrasound results were ‘normal’
I’ve been having symptoms for a while now and my abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound was apparently ‘normal’. I’ve had severe pain during sex for a year now and some bleeding after sex, abdominal pain, and pain in my ovaries every day for about 9 months which has gradually got worse! I am in so much

My IBS symptoms- anyone similar?
I made some notes about what I’ve been experiencing this past year. In addition to what’s below I should add I never really have any pain and currently my main symptom is terrible, foul gas pretty much everyday which is embarrassing and uncomfortable. Dr suggests an endoscopy next so I’ll be scheduling

Surgical menopause & hrt
Hi hope i get some advice. I have been told following hysterectomy (stage 4 endo & adenomyosis) I need hrt to manage surgical menopause. In 2014, I was fast tracked to a breast clinic due to lumps in my breast that were fortunately fine. The breast consultant told me estrogen was the cause & that I

Worried I wont be taken seriously
I'm sorry this is so long - I'm really struggling with all this. I have always had pain with my periods, I first went to the GP about it when I was 16 - less that a year after they first started, because my mum told me that the amount of pain I was in wasn't normal. I went on the mini-pill for a bit

Natural cycles with endo
Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for 2 years now and got the mirena coil fitted during my lap. I’m currently thinking about getting my coil removed and either going back on the pill or just having a natural cycle for a few months. I was just wondering if anyone has come of contraception

Not feeling great ..
I don’t really know the purpose of this post except that I feel I need to get how I feel off my chest before I burst. It’s ironic, I’m quite capable of telling people that it’s okay to feel a certain way about whatever situation they’re in yet I can’t accept my own advice. I had a miscarriage in March
