Cancelled cycle due to cyst

Has anyone experienced a cyst and ivf cycle cancellation.

What treatment did they recommend? Did your cyst go eventually?

I’ve been advised to continue with birth control until 3 more weeks. Have another period and then commence again.

Hi there, yes my last transfer was delayed due to a cyst, they asked me to trigger and wait till the next bleed to start again. It was rather frustrating because, had they just done my bloods on the first scan, they would have known that the large “follicle” was actually a cyst. They kept me on meds and asked me to come in for more scans and thankfully bloods to determine that my lining was not where it should be.

Thanks for your reply. I’m sorry that your cycle got cancelled too. I guess it’s better to cancel then go ahead and compromise a collection or numbers. Did the cyst go by your next bleed? This was meant to be my final batching cycle so bit disappointing but seeing it as a sign that I need to wait a bit more. X

Yup cyst went away by itself and I transferred yesterday so fingers crossed!

I had a cyst just before a frozen transfer. We had to abandon the cycle, I was put in norethisterone for 10 days, then bled and started the cycle again.

Thankfully it did go with the bleed.

It was so frustrating but it was producing hormones so would have messed up the cycle for sure. Xx

Thanks lovely for your reply. It’s so annoying! But I’d rather have cancelled now then after stims as it would feel more disappointing to know after so much time and money and energy on the process x I’ve got to take the pill for 3 more weeks and then I’ll get a bleed seems like a long time! 😕

I had to cancel a fresh transfer due to a large cyst, they're just taking a wait and see approach with me (I'm oldddd and low amh so they don't want to put me on the pill) - if it starts shrinking they'll do a FET but if not I might have to have it surgically drained. I've just had my second period since the collection and have a scan in a couple of days to see what the darn cyst is doing!!

I had a cyst my last FET and they had to cancel it which went away with 10 days of norethisterone. Try Castor oil packs hear that helps cysts as well xx

I just had my first cycle cancelled due to a cyst, two days before starting stims. They're rescanning in 6 weeks hoping it has gone, and then I'll start down regs again. Sigh.

I had the same I’m sorry it got cancelled but better that then go ahead and maybe not get the most from your cycle. Fingers crossed it comes away. I tookMore meds in the hope it would go away by the next cycle it hasn’t and got bigger! So no period no cycle again and waiting on a bleed ( it’s been 16 days since stopping the provera tablets) to have it aspirated x
