pause pill for 4 instead of 7 days
When I saw the nurse last time she kind of told me off for stopping to take the pill for 7 days and I should only pause for 4. This is really messing up my month as I always had a good rhythm going. I asked her again today as the instruction also say 7 days but she claims it got changed 2 years ago but

Debilitating
Hi everyone. I have had an interactive thyroid for 22 years. Had been on 275-250 for many years. The dr's at my new health centre continue to reduce my daily dose, now 150. Blood test in July was 3 weeks after a contraceptive injection to stop heavy periods. Could this injection give a false reading

Hi everyone, I recently got diagnosed with Endo this month after having a Laparoscopy, they said they cant remove it as its too dangerous, has anyone else been told this as well? My option is to go back on the pill to dull the symptoms or keep trying for a baby and deal with the pain. I just dont know

Contraception as a treatment?
Does anyone use contraception as treatment for PCOS? I can’t take the pill because of migraines and being overweight. The mini pill is not great for me either. I take Medroxyprogesterone every 3 months to ensure I have a bleed. The tablets kill me emotionally. I get really bad days before, during and

Not allowed another lap operation, needing advice please!
So I'm undergoing an investigation for Endometriosis and I've been told that there won't be any point in having another Lap (last time they did it to find endo but I had an extremely severe case of PID so any endo was likely hidden) I have every single symptom of Endometriosis, including bad IBS/Bowel

Advice on coming off pill with Endo...anybody else been in the same situation?
So I was diagnosed with Deep infiltrating Endo on my pouch of Douglas and uterosacral ligaments last month but they weren’t able to remove it during the lap so I’m awaiting further surgery. I’ve been told potentially 8-12 months wait, even though it’s been marked as urgent and would hopefully be done

Mini pill recommendations
Hi there Does anyone have any mini pill brand recommendations? I’m currently using Noriday and have been for years but all of a sudden it’s causing non stop spotting. Ive also tried desogestrel and this also makes me constantly bleed. Does anyone know of a mini pill that doesn’t cause bleeding constantly

Just been prescribed levothyroxine
Hi All! After a lot of battles with the doctor due to my tsh being in range, I took some feedback on here about my t3 & t4 being below optimal for weight loss and feeling better and used this to convince the doctor to try me on levo. I’m starting tomorrow on 25mg dose and closely monitored with a blood

Continuous pain
Waiting for laparoscopy and changing to a combined pill. I'm in absolute agony continuously. I'm on gabapentin and mefenamic acid and paracetamol. I've been using a tens machine and hot water bottle. If any one has any suggestions to relieve pain I am really open at this point I'm just so fed up

Advice please.
Hi, wondering if anyone has any good advice. My daughter(31) came off the pill about a year ago and since then has suffered from acne. Previously her skin had been immaculate. She went to her gynaecologist and was diagnosed with PCOS. Has anyone any advice on how to clear up her skin please? Thanks

Are these symptoms normal?
Hi! I have been diagnosed with PCOs in 2016, when I was 16 years old, after my period didn’t come back for 6 months. I started taking the contraceptive pill (Yasmin) a few months later, and my periods were finally normal! A few months ago, I started noticing side effects caused by the pill, such as

To those successful in the IVF process, what supplements did you take?
Hello, It looks as though I will be starting IVF soon. I've never even been on the pill so pretty scared about injecting hormones. The consultant says there's no evidence around taking supplements but I've seen some of you talk about them. I take "trying to conceive pregnacare", my diet is great and

Copper Coil
I had the copper coil IUD fitted a few days ago and ever since I’ve had a bad smell down there on and off and a light brown discharge... also I just transitioned from the pill and it was inserted on the last day of my period. What could this be? It’s making me miserable because I don’t know...

Bad reaction to levo--what now?
Hi all, I had a bad reaction to my first experience with meds and am looking for some help. Earlier this month, I started on 25 mcg of generic levothyroxine after convincing my doctor to try treatment. Here were my labs at the time: TSH: 4.53 (.4 - 4.50) FT4: 1.1 (0.8 - 1.8) T3: 79 (76 - 181) For

How do I get my period back?
Ever since I got my first period, it had always been irregular. It would be super heavy and last for 4-6 weeks. When I became 14, I started taking the birth control pill to help regulate my cycle. I was diagnosed with pcos. I’m now 20 and just over a year ago In August 2019 I stopped taking the birth
