Aching arms - CPAP mask
Good afternoon everyone, I wear a CPAP mask every night, as i am a retainer and i just wondered does anyone else at night suffer with pain in in their arms and shoulders whilst sleeping? It sometimes feels as though I have been sleeping to soundly on my arm and I have to turn over onto my other side.

Transplant paperwork has been submitted
Hi all, I had my left kidney removed in 2015 and at that my remaining kidney came out with a gfr of 20 (it was about 26-29 before the op so I saw this as a great success). Then in July 2018 I dropped down to 12% and felt terrible. Since then I’ve bubbled betw15 and 17%. In order to try and avoid dialysis

Currently on hemo dialysis. ESRD with creatinine at 3.8. Had a cyst scan of abdominal area a d a solid mass was found on my right kidney. Urologist and nephrologist both agree kidney should be removed. I am waiting to go on transplant list, so this really sucks. Anyone have any advice.

Sleep Study
Three weeks ago I had a sleep study in hospital. I was rather anxious about it as I am highly claustrophobic. It was hard enough wearing pajamas, let alone having all the probes and wires on me. I was in tears (and in AF) when getting wired up. I did some deep breathing and meditating and finally got

Atrial Fib:- Identifying Triggers ...
Its interesting to read others A.F. triggers and reactions to alcohol. I have paroxysmal AF and discovered that if I have 'too much alcohol', I wake up in the middle of the night feeling anxious and realize I'm in AF. The strange thing is that other times I can have a higher consumpion and totally

I wound up hospitalized for about a month in 2 different hospitals, the last hospital specialized in kidneys.. I wound up in congestive heart failure, pleural effusion

Treatments for C3G
There are no medicines that specifically treat C3G. Instead, current treatments aim to keep blood pressure, proteinuria (protein in the urine) and blood cholesterol levels low, and to control the immune system (the body’s defense against infections). The term C3G includes two conditions - dense deposit

C3G - Knowing the Signs and Symptoms
Complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is a rare kidney disease that has two forms: dense deposit disease (DDD) and C3 glomerulonephritis (C3GN). Each is caused by genetic or acquired problems in controlling the body’s complement system, which helps fight infections. Genetic problems can be inherited or not

Update on my husband
I joined the forum when my husband was diagnosed with kidney failure following a mini stroke. We live in Crete, and found the results of tests very confusing as Greece uses a different scale to measure keratin etc. Following two years of seeing the kidney specialist every six weeks and then every two

Just Keep Pushing
Well today makes 2 years I have been on dialysis. It hasn't been the best. But it could be much worse. I think the hardest part for me was accepting that my life was about to change. I'm only 25 and being told my kidney was failing and I had to get on dialysis scared. AND since then finding a job and

Today’s the day
Dialysis training starts today so I guess that means that I am officially on dialysis. Wow! Just reading those words is so surreal and I can’t believe I’m referring to me! I had my catheter drained on Friday and that went well until I experienced drain pain for the first time. That was so unpleasant

CKD....
Hi I'm new to this group just thought I'd introduce myself. I've recently been diagnosed with CKD (egfr 32) after having kidney stones followed by 3 serious infections. It's scary to be told that your possibly 4 years from dialysis!

Rapid Cirrhosis Progression?
Hi Everyone, I hope all is well! While searching Google about cirrhosis I stumbled upon these boards and have been reading ever since. I've signed up because I just was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation as mine. On October 31st my father was brought the the ER. After multiple tests
