Water reservoir

Further to my last post on cleaning your CPAP machine. As I do not sleep well, in the morning I always have a little water still in the tank, I add a drop of washing up liquid to this , with the addition of a little white vinegar, if you have no left over water , then fill up as usual with cool but boiled water. Because I can no longer open the tank, due to Arthritic hands, I also use a little brush , to clean inside the tank, if I did,nt do this every morning, it would have a pink lining along the bottom of the plastic. This pink effect, is the result of whatever is put in our water supply, to make it safe to use.

One side effect of not opening the tank, is, I hope, that it will last longer than the many previous ones. I do not know about anyone else, but I've the 20 odd years of using the CPAP machine, I have had an awful lot of replacement tanks. They always break at the hinge, it is a terrible waste, so not opening it at all , surely will prevent this happening.
