Very worried
I have posted on here before but briefly as i'm panicking. I am on EGFR 7 on PD dialysis. For the last couple of months i've been getting these sores on my face. They start very small and then get large very quick and itch. I'm just getting fobbed off from doctor to doctor and they state it's an allergy

Sleep issues
My wife has a tentative diagnosis of MSA. She has serious issues with excessive daytime and early evening sleeping. We will get the results of a sleep study this week. It is possible that there will be confirmation of sleep apnea, mainly because of her night time breathing stopping, for up to 30

induced coma - how long can it take for a loved one to come around?
My sister had a sudden septic infection last week. She was in hospital when it happened for another condition. She has severe form of gastroparesis and was admitted because of a flare up. It’s 8 days today since she was put in induced coma. She has been given rounds of antibiotics. She is currently on

And another question, this for the people who have the AV fistula but are not yet on dialysis or had it for a while before dialysis.
My neph, at my last visit, suggested I get the AV fistula right away. She said it could take a year to heal. My eGFR is at 30 and I think she is rushing me to get it. I'm 80 and maybe she is thinking that I'm going to go into an emergency situation and then the catheter thingy they use then. I would

Dialysis and transplant.
I want to tell everyone my experience, with dialysis and trying to be put transplant list. The experiences I have had at have been good and bad. The good is when I no cramps and good blood pressure. The is when the total opposite. This has happened several times. I would say be your own advocate.

Long time no talk!

BUPRENORPHINE SUBLINGUAL BREAKDOWN AFTER 9 MONTHS TOTAL TREATMENT SUCCESS.
A week ago I titrated from the very successful 0.6 mg Buprenorphine sublingual I’d been on for 9 months during which time my PLMS disappeared completely. But they returned 7 days or so back so with my doctors’ reluctant support the dosage was increased to 2 x 0.4 tablets = 0.8. Five nights at the

Frustrations
I have been on PD since November '22. Since that time I have been experiencing nightly issues with the cycler to which my husband and I have had one week in nine months of being able to sleep the night through. (No clue why it worked that one week.) We have been doing as suggested by our care team to

Why it is important to advocate for yourself
I have been on this journey for many years and have shared most of my experience. I want to share the latest snafu, because it is so infuriating. I went through the transplant evaluation in 2021. Completed all the tests and was told this: My BMI was too high and that on the nuclear test, they found

grade 5 reflux with a neurogenic bladder
my son (now 8 months old) was diagnosed with a grade 5 reflux along with a neurogenic bladder post his mcu and cystoscopy which were performed when he was almost a month old, after a life threatening episode of sepsis. The reflux situation caused urine to build up in the kidneys, so much so that one

Immunocompromised?
Hi everyone I have looked at some pinned articles and still wanted to put this question out there. As a person who is Stage 0, is in W&W who has healthy RBC, Platelets and Immunoglobulin numbers… am I still considered immunocompromised? My WBC number is currently around 34. I work in large crowds
