Another trial of something that targets bone metastasis, and works even better if you are under zolendronate . "Most importantly, gamma delta T cells are unique in that they are most efficient when combined with a drug (zoledronate) that is commonly used to protect the bone in patients with bone metastatic

Milk thistle
Good morning, I was just wondering if anyone has tried milk thistle to try and improve cirrhosis of the liver and to add bile salts to the body?

Not Eating
Hi Everyone, I've not been on here for a while but could do with some advice. My partner has been in hospital twice over the last 3 years with alcoholic hepatitis (the second time his liver was failing but the steroids seemed to work) and he was back to normal. Almost a year on from his last hospital

Discoid Lupus
Hello Everyone, I have been suffering with discoid lupus for 5 years now. i have had some pretty nasty flare ups since being diagnosed. One flare up resulted in having to spend 2 weeks in hospital. I recently had another flare up… After nearly 12 months in remission… And I started to get bald patches

Hemorrhoids from higher cholesterol
I thought I'd ask if this is common for other people. I suspect my Hemorrhoids have got quite bad as a result of slightly underactive thyroid. My cholesterol is mildly high - 5.7 when it should be below 5. Also I have gilberts syndrome which is high bilirubin. When I fasted or went more than 6 hrs without

Just a touch away: CT-optimal touch perception and its influence on pain and itch
Psychologist Larissa Meijer has discovered that gentle caresses from a partner can provide relief from chronic pain. This treatment has no side effects and can be done at home. It should normally be free too 🙂 Meijer has demonstrated the effect of light stroking on pain and itchiness in Parkinson's

Sourcing levothyroxine without prescription in the UK
Hello, As per my reply to another post earlier, the endo that I saw regarding adrenal insufficiency recently included a throw-away line in the subsequent letter to my GP recommending that the levothyroxine that I have been taking for 12 years be stopped. Unfortunately, the GP instantly removed levothyroxine

Weight problems and insensitive people
I've been so self conscious since gaining so much weight from my underactive thyroid that I'm basically a hermit in my own home, I barely go outdoors, for fear of being called up on my weight gain, or "looking well". Today I decided to go outdoors only to bump into an old acquaintance who couldn't resist

requesting a IgA anti-TTG test in the UK
I have coeliac disease. The other day I talked to a doctor (over the phone, of course) to discuss results of my blood test. I then said that I would like to request a IgA anti-TTG test for my son (as you know, this is done through a blood test). I was told that now doctors can no longer request this
