I started organizing all my notes yesterday from the Summit.

I will begin to share all of this with you today.

One of the women I met was the Pediatrics and Rare Liver Diseases Director, Kristin Hatcher, from the Global Liver Institute. She is trying to lobby for a routine liver panel to be part of our well woman check up or annual physical. She needs the data from as many states as possible about what you are being charged ( or your insurance company) for this test.

If you could post here what state you are from and what the lab charged your insurance company, she would greatly appreciate it. I know this may take some time to find this information from your insurance statements, but I would greatly appreciate your time to do this. Multiple answers from the same state would be a great comparison for her as well.

What a difference this could make in the early diagnosis for especially the younger women. Together we can affect change. This information only applies to the US for now as she works for a US corporation.

Thank you so much!!! we are all in this fight for change together....

That would make so much sense to include in the well woman visits. It would’ve been nice to be diagnosed sooner. If she’s curious about Canada, where I’m located, the tests are covered by our health care plan. So no charge!

Yes, all lab work, images (scans) and non-cosmetic surgeries are covered. It is covered through our high gasoline, cigarettes and alcohol taxes. Many don’t like it, but i am grateful.
