Milk thistle

Good morning, I was just wondering if anyone has tried milk thistle to try and improve cirrhosis of the liver and to add bile salts to the body?

Some people here have been told by their hepatologists not to touch Milk Thistle - if you are considering it only do so with the guidance of your doctor.

Years of reading, my conclusion for myself? I found no magic bullets. My liver was damaged by putting unnecessary things through it. I am skeptical, if milk thistle was a cure, it would be obvious.

I have used it for several months . It made no difference so save your money.

Be very careful, it can be contraindicated with other drugs, blood pressure and beta blockers I believe, the majority of consultants would say no.
