Enlarged uterus/womb, and rectal bleeding
Before I had the internal examination, she said that if it was endometriosis on my rectum/bowel, there isn't a lot they can do because of the nature of the bowel, and any surgery on that area would result in a
colostomy
bag!

Fed up and unhappy - how do I deal with a complicated situation?
I have also been told that if it is on/through my bowel, the consequences are pretty major (resection +
colostomy
). I'm somewhat freaked out by this (although to people about me I always seem calm - it's in my nature).

Hi everyone, I have stage 4 endo and have had 3 laps over 5 yrs. my bowel is covered in it and may also be inside. I saw the surgeon today
And need a full hysterectomy and surgery on my bowel which will leave me with a temporary
colostomy
bag. Can anyone give me info, feedback or tips. Feeling scared as there are heaps of dangers during and after surgery. Has anyone been through this, ty

Anyone with a colostomy tried irrigation??
I am fed up with my
colostomy
bags leaking!!! Tried all different types but they are all the same. Embarrassing when you are out. Looking at 'you tube' and it appears easy. Stoma nurse happy for me to try but going for 2nd lot of chemo treatment at end October.

Has anyone else on here had a colectomy or other abdominal surgery and had problems with adhesions on their fallopian tubes?
Was referred for testing, but consultant has refused to test my tubes because my AMH is also low and he says I will need IVF anyway. Have asked for second opinion, but could take weeks for re-referral. Should I just go private? Ovulation is normal and DH's sperm normal. Herbalist says my AMH not that

Hi ! Had a nasty cancer 18 years back, taking heavy painkillers from day one to present. Recently started with I think - panic attacks
registered as 9+ 10 ) a month in the fist few months after surgery to now registered disabled experiencing the occasional few hours in the morning or afternoon where the pain is tolerable (never goes) I have used this bad experience to help others with similar problems via the C.A. help & support line (

Years of thinking all the discomfort was normal!!!!!
Everything went well and I do not have a iostomy or
colostomy
bag. I have four insertions on my stomach, I am still swollen but healing nicely. I still can't walk as fast I would like and get a really bad stitch if I over do it.

Back under the knife tomorrow!
what if I wake up tomorrow with a
colostomy
??? I know they said it would only be temporary if it got to that point but what man can cope with that!?! Everyone just keeps telling me that
colostomy
etc is worst case and I need to stop over thinking things.

Sick of the pain, sick of waiting, sick of it all!
I get married in April and I can't even go dress shopping cuz I don't know when I'll be having surgery or IVF or if I'll have a
colostomy
or even be pregnant. It's just crazy to think there could be so many different outcomes.

for the same

Any advice?
He also had to have an operation and the end result was a
colostomy
. This time last year his legs started to swell so he consulted his GP. He was referred to an oncologist and a scan showed the cancer had returned. He subsequently had 6 months of chemo.

Wish me luck for Thursday my lap
I have my lap Thursday, possible
colostomy
bag as a spot is on rectum, spots on blood supply to ovary so possible loss of ovary and fibroids removed possible hyster. What are the chances of these happening as I am terrified I will wake up with all my 'lady bits' gone. X

Pains in the Summer
My son had a vascular problem, which I diagnosed when he was in 10 months but it took 1 year to have a treatment and it infected inside and he ended up having
colostomy
because of the system and the people’s ignorance.
