Buying New Clothes...
We went to Tesco's this afternoon...look at me, writing about a feckin' supermarket as though it's seriously interesting...anyway we went and the sky was bright blue and the wind howled and rocked the car when we came to the open parts of the road... Lorries were tucked into the slow lane...it must be

TUMOR HETEROGENEITY and CLONAL EVOLUTION
Hi Friends, Dr. Cathy Wu Explains TUMOR HETEROGENEITY and CLONAL EVOLUTION in CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). I just posted this interview on my blog: http://bkoffman.blogspot.com . This is a super important topic to understand if we ever want to cure our CLL. It is also a teaser of what's coming

Close Encounters
In the mid 70s, My brother and me were returning home, following another step along the road towards rock stardom. It was about half midnight. What had been a lovely summers day had given way to a warm cloudless night. We were driving along a dark and unlit motorway, the M66, with the shimmering lights

Update on Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s work in Cardiff
[i]"Cardiff has an internationally renowned team that focuses on CLL. This group, led by Professor Chris Pepper, recently developed a new model for investigating the behaviour of leukaemia cells under conditions that mimic what's happening in the bloodstream of patients. They are using this new model

I was diagnosed with CLL last November after blood tests showed a white count reading of 25. I have been put on watch and wait and go back on 21st April. I have just had a cholesterol test which is high but my white count is down to 14 and the other readings were normal. Can I take this as good news
