April Hematology Times: "How vitamin D fights lymphoma" and "Low doses of imatinib promote hematopoiesis"
Some articles from Hematology Times (free membership) on research that may be worth keeping an eye on:

The future for CLL?
In the last few years, we've seen some great advances in the efficacy of new treatments for CLL, with very encouraging progress towards a cure. There has even been talk that we may have achieved the breakthrough that Imatinib (perhaps better know as Gleevec) was for a sister leukaemia to CLL - CML or

CHRONIC CARE NURSES
These nurses are little angels of mercy because I live in a nursing home after their initial visit they were satisfied that all was in place for me here. But they never left it at that, they ring me once a week and the nurse manager like wise, very often they can put things into place which could not

Encouraging progress on CAR-T therapy
I found the first page of this article provided a good and fairly understandable overview of where we are with chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and in particular with the use of the T-cell receptor CAR-T). Much of the article is devoted to blood cancers, in particular B-cell cancers, with CLL specifically

ASH 2014: Rough Notes from Dr. Clive Zent and Dr. Wiestner on Prognostic Factors and Resistance in CLL
Hi friends, I have just posted on my blog: http://bkoffman.blogspot.com my rough notes from a lecture on CLL from ASH 2014. I hope it offers two things. First it contains a flood of information on how our understanding of prognostic indicators, tumor heterogeneity, and clonal evolution is changing
