Different perspective on Vitamin A
Hi all, a while back i paid for a health download from an American nutritionist and now get bombarded with newsletters and sales pitches from various U.S. health practitioners. Besides trying to sell me stuff, they also send out useful info now and again and I just got one about Vit A and thought i'd

COPD - Feeling cold
Hi everyone. My partner has been diagnosed with stage 3 COPD. We do not have good support from our GP so are learning as we go along. The last few days Peter has been extremely cold. There is no reason for this , weather is warm and warm inside house. Is this a symptom of COPD and if so why? I value

NDT fillers/binders?
If cellulose binds thyroid hormone, and sugar on the other hand makes absorption easier, why would Forest replace sugar with cellulose? I read somewhere that they wanted to make Armour more diabetic-friendly, but wasn't there any other filler they could have chosen, instead of cellulose? Although, I

Back from vacation
Well, my family and I just returned from a week of camping. It was nice. Had follow up with Dr. He said if I have COPD, it's probably mild, but he's thinking maybe some type of asthmatic component. Breathing still sucks... can't breath deep, only shallow. Changed my med again, now on Dulera twice

Checkpoint Inhibitors - the Programmed Death 1 and Ligand (PD-1/PD-L1) checkpoints and their promise for CLL/SLL
In the last few years, we've seen amazing advances in the approvals of safer, more effective non chemo treatments for CLL/SLL. That momentum doesn't look as if it will stop any time soon, which is a huge improvement on the situation of just a few years ago, when FCR was the only improved treatment to

Today, I joined CLLSA
I am writing this as a CLL patient with a history of this disease going back to 2008, when I was diagnosed through a 'simple' blood test taken during my yearly check-up. My Internist recommended that I start seeing an Oncologist/Hematologist about a few weeks after he 'discovered' my CLL. This I did.

Legs weakness
Good morning to every one. I would like to ask if having emphysema has any thing to do with legs weakness. I have nearly gone over a few time, but this morning they gave up on me. I went like a bag of spuds. I also get red hot feet and ice cold feet, I had my spine fixed in 2000. So I thought me legs

Treanda/ Bendamustine--First treatment for CLL ?
After 4-1/2 years, it looks like I'm ready for treatment. His concern was not with the counts, but the significant and continuing enlargement of lymph nodes in the porta hepatis and surrounding the celiac axis. 10cm x 7cm in size and others. Wants to begin treatment using Treanda ( Bendamustine) twice
