How do you cope day to day
My dad has stage 4 lung cancer. No treatment has ever helped him. How as a daughter do you help function. I’ve a baby and 2 year old and I’m struggling to be happy. My dad knows it’s imminent and my mam cries. I don’t know what to do or say

Devastated! my Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Transformed into Small Cell Lung Cancer
Hello Friends, It has been a while since I posted. I was originally diagnosed 7 1/2 months ago with stage 4 Non-Small Cell EGFR + Lung Cancer. Had a great response to Tagrisso 80mg as my first line but progressed only after 6 months. My biopsy in July confirmed that my Non-Small Cell has transformed

Partial collapsed lung
I have been told that my left
lung
is
collapsed
in middle , they can’t do any further investigation as it’s too dangerous so I’m being sent for physio therapy in the hope that it’s a mucus blockage .. if this doesn’t get better will I still be able to fly? My fev 1 is 22% no oxygen needed

Has anyone developed LPR after lung surgery? I have been taking PPI med and Gaviscon Advance for about 7 weeks but still have bouts of hoarse voice, breathlessness, noisy breathing, occasional cough. I'm waiting for an endoscopy but what can be done? My consultant tells me my lung has expanded quite

ICU breakdown
I went to the hospital and was told I had an ammonia, empyema, a
collapsed
lung
and to pleural effusion’s.I was in the hospital for 16 days and put on life-support. I don’t remember probably 11 of the days and I’m having a terrible time with this.

Alpha 1 antitrypsin question please
Hi- can anyone help? My GP recently requested a blood test for alpha-1 antitrypsin due to some wheezing I have, and a strong family history of COPD. The blood test that was carried out was Serum protein electrophoresis, which came back normal. I asked the GP if A1AT is included in that and she said yes

TOE echocardiogram
After two major operations in less then 18 months, kidney blockage and lung cancer lobe removal, I said never again. I’m done. Had my quota. Remind me never to say never again. Saw a cardiologist at Papworth Hospital yesterday about the mitral valve regurgitation problem they discovered during tests
