Collapsed lung

Im already on enough tablets for ongoing breathing problems and a partially collapsed lung from pneumonia i don't really want to take anymore have chronic pain and heard statins can give you muscle pain. Help

When I finally got to hospital they told me I had a fully collapsed lung. Ended up a short stay in hospital.

hi I had fluid on the lung and a collapsed lung in May this year. It was successfully drained but 4 months later , I still get a pain where the drain went in plus pain just under the left lung . It doesn’t hurt if I sit still . I understand that the lung lining has to stick back together .

My QofL ( actually complicated since I am also recovering from pneumonia, a collapsed lung, resulting fluid in chest and a thoracentesis )as far as afib is concerned has been significantly improved. No long or uncomfortable runs of afib. No longer take rhythm medication, dofetilide, thankfully.

These milestones were achieved with even spending 5 days in ICU with a collapsed lung. We the ones that know got heart conditions are the lucky ones in reality, as something can be done about it. Good luck everyone.

I have been doing well recovering from ablation with zero heart events despite a bad procedure outcome of pneumonia, collapsed lung,and resulting fluid in chest, requiring thoracentesis. Finally nearly resolved. 😮‍💨 sigh.

I did have a partially collapsed lung whilst in hospital and wondered if this was something to do with it. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? I’m seeing the cardiac nurse in a couple of days so will ask her about it then.

Had surgery on Feb 27th 2024, 4 days in I.C.U with collapsed lung during operation, back home now slowly recovering, get very tired very easily, trying to do 20 mins walk a day, that's my limit at the mo without getting exhausted

After a chest X-ray, I was treated for Pneumonia and collapsed lung, spent 12 days on oxygen and was eventually discharged 2 weeks later. I had to unfortunately cancel my Easter holiday to Tunisia. Please be safe everyone ❤️❤️❤️

a couple of weeks ago , I was admitted to hospital with a pleural effusion plus collapsed lung . I had 2.2litres of fluid drained from my lung! Has anyone else been in this situation ? It’s a bit scary as when I googled pleural effusion , it indicated that I don’t have a lot of time left .
