Hello all For the last two years Sir Alex Ferguson has featured on a campaign to raise awareness about lung cancer. We have been asked to see if we can find anyone who has been diagnosed with lung cancer, who took action partly because of the campaign. if you want to get in touch email us on info@roycastle.org

Heartbroken
Hi I'm 30 years old and over Christmas I was rushed into hospital with a severe chest infection which needed 100% O2 and back to back nebulisers iv antibiotics and steroids for the following 4 days. Coughing and IPF
G'day All We have finally had success with Susan's severe wet coughing fits. The Lung transplant Dr has recommended Panadene Forte as a means of reducing the attacks. Susan has been taking 1 tablet 3 times daily and has had very little coughing since. I do not know if it will assist everyone but

Stage 4
Hi, I'm 41 and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer two weeks ago. I had a lung biopsy yesterday and start chemo next week. I made the mistake of looking at life expectancies on the Internet and made myself insane. Does anyone know of anyone who has lived with stage 4 for a semi long time. My mum says

Roflumilast
Has anyone any experience of using Roflumilast? I know that it is not "licensed" as a prescription drug in Britain unless you are taking part in a clinical trial, but is used in Europe and America. The 'obstructive' element of my COPD seems to be getting worse and I wondered if it was worth getting

Humour - Something to cheer senior citizens up.
I am a Seenager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 60 years later. I don’t have to go to school or work, in fact anywhere I don’t want to. I get an allowance every month. I have my own house. I don’t have a curfew. I have a driver’s license and my own car. The people

Harefield Hospital. Review
Hi everyone, Went to Harefield Hospital for a NIPPY review. I have severe COPD, on 1 litre oxygen and borderline CO2 retention. Several months ago, I was given a Bi-Pap machine (Positive Airways Pressure) The idea is that this machine keeps your airwaves open at the correct level while you sleep.

Cold sores/Herpes simplex
I have read lately that some of you are suffering from cold sores. Aren't they not the most horrible things to suffer from ? I have had them often since childhood and at times they have been so bad that I can't even eat and have had to drink through a straw. At times I have had them very close to my

Has anyone had a lung transplant?
They are starting to talk to my husband about lung transplant, just starting the pre-transplant listing testing period. Has anyone had a lung transplant? If so, what was it like for you? Suggestions of things to consider?
