New Drug Combination Shows Promising Activity in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients.
Patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) now have more improved treatment options compared to standard of care with the addition of several new agents called immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Despite these changes, many patients still develop progressive disease after ICI treatment. In a new

Don’t know where to turn
My dad has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer he’s 90, he just sits in a chair all day because he can’t breathe but no one is helping us, we’ve asked for oxygen but they have said it won’t make any difference, surely this will help him breathe better. We don’t know where to turn it’s heartbreaking

Leg pains and trigger point pain over my back under on in breasts. Old post - Fibro, and Magnesium
I had a

caused by a bacteria that they couldn't find. I had recently been to Bali. I was isolated for a week. But this is not the point of my post. I was looking at the internet and only got sciatic pain. I came across and article here and thought "that sounds like me".

I’m disappointed at not having targeted therapy!
So I had the results back and Ive been scheduled to start chemo in 2 weeks. I must admit I’m a bit disappointed at not being able to have the targeted therapy. I’d almost pinned the hope on these newer drugs and so being told I didn’t have the right mutation was a bit of a blow. The newer drugs all seem

back pain post op
hope you all have a happy sunday! My mom has been having a bit of back pain after her lobectomy. Is it normal? Not bad back pain, but after she walks and stands up the whole day for a long time, her back starts hurting a bit. Has been about a month since surgery. Her bed is also really uncomfortable

Didn't go to plan
Had a consultant appt Thursday very mixed feelings about it. Firstly she said my HP was under control- no fibrosis showing on CT scan and granulomas are small and non worrisome. But then listened to my lungs and heard the crackles. And I feel no real improvement has occurred to my lung's day-to-day performance

CANCER IS BACK....AGAIN
It has been awhile since I posted anything on here. Two years ago I was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer stage 1. They removed the lower portion of my right lung, cancer was gone. Last year the cancer ( a different type of non-small cell) was found in the left lung. With chemo and radiation

Yesterday I received an email from Caspiana advising that she had received "That Call" from the hospital, telling her to come in as they had a lung for her. Asbestos & Small Cell Lung Cancer
My wife was diagnosed with SCLC in March 2019. She is now on Palliative Chemo just to give her a bit of extra time. I was also diagnosed with Enlarged Hilar and Enlarged Mediastinal nodes on my lungs in 2018 and being me I never went back to the hospital. Does anyone know whether these could have been

1sr Appointment with Oncologist
Good evening everyone. Good news - the cancer has not spread beyond my lungs! He thinks Immunotherapy is the best option for me (due to the pneumonia I had in October and complications from an illness I had several years ago). There is a possibility of there forever being an infection lurking, albeit
