Starting Immunotherapy Keytruda
Dear All, I am about to start Keytruda as my blood tests shows mismatched repair deficiency for which immunotherapy is advised. I have chronic asthma and so am really scared that the treatment may harm my lungs. I have read that keytruda can have bad side effects. Since in my case chemo has not worked

My husband had a liter and a half of fluid removed from area between lung and chest wall. The diagnosis now is stage 4 and he begins treatment on Wednesday. He will be on carboplatin, Alimta, and keytruda. How has keytruda worked for you? I wasn’t able to take it and just would like to hear from others

EGFR mutations on exon 20 and exon 21
Hello, I'm 42M, and I've just been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. My PD-L1 is between 30 and 40%, and I have EGFR S768I (exon 20) and EGFR L858R (exon 21) mutations. Is it normal to have more than one EGFR mutation? I'm starting treatment on osimertinib, how effective is this treatment?

New Drug Combination Shows Promising Activity in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients.
Patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) now have more improved treatment options compared to standard of care with the addition of several new agents called immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Don’t know where to turn
My dad has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer he’s 90, he just sits in a chair all day because he can’t breathe but no one is helping us, we’ve asked for oxygen but they have said it won’t make any difference, surely this will help him breathe better. We don’t know where to turn it’s heartbreaking

I’m disappointed at not having targeted therapy!
So I had the results back and Ive been scheduled to start chemo in 2 weeks. I must admit I’m a bit disappointed at not being able to have the targeted therapy. I’d almost pinned the hope on these newer drugs and so being told I didn’t have the right mutation was a bit of a blow. The newer drugs all seem

back pain post op
hope you all have a happy sunday! My mom has been having a bit of back pain after her lobectomy. Is it normal? Not bad back pain, but after she walks and stands up the whole day for a long time, her back starts hurting a bit. Has been about a month since surgery. Her bed is also really uncomfortable

Didn't go to plan
Had a consultant appt Thursday very mixed feelings about it. Firstly she said my HP was under control- no fibrosis showing on CT scan and granulomas are small and non worrisome. But then listened to my lungs and heard the crackles. And I feel no real improvement has occurred to my lung's day-to-day performance

CANCER IS BACK....AGAIN
It has been awhile since I posted anything on here. Two years ago I was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer stage 1. They removed the lower portion of my right lung, cancer was gone. Last year the cancer ( a different type of non-small cell) was found in the left lung. With chemo and radiation
