I was just on the Instagram page crohns and
colitis
and it's just dawned upon me what it's actually like loving with a chronic illness. I thought I'd just have to have some medicines and it will all be ok. How are you all doing with your condition??

Has anyone here tried SpoGest-IB probiotic?
I'm 46 now and have been living with Ulcerative
Colitis
for 12 years and experiencing bouts of diarrhea on and off for a long time. I'm currently on Octasa 800mg and want to know if this probiotic can be used alongside my current meds.

Does IBD cause a swollen stomach, where you look about 6 months pregnant!?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this page but I wanted to ask a few questions about Crohn's/
Colitis
. Back in February this year, I had an inflammation at 996 on a Calprotectin test but I don't have the typical IBD symptoms, although I was vomiting and couldn't hold food down for around a week.

Where does your pain present
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with microscopic
colitis
5 years ago but have been pretty much asymptomatic up until a few weeks ago and more recently am in lots of pain at night. It presents just under my left rib and over the last week or so round the back of left rib.

My consultant said it was to do with IBD and I'm awaiting results for the biopsies (not sure what results I.e. do you think it's to determine what type of
colitis
I have?? I'm getting abit nervous what if he comes back and says its something more than that?!

Probiotics
I have ulcerative
colitis
and was wondering even with the mescaline I take daily whether probiotics would help. Would anyone recommend the best to take. Thanks Lynda

Inflammatory markers - auto immune?
Just wondering if anyone has had a positive ANA test as a result of PRD ie proctitis,
colitis
etc? My gp has recalled me to discuss this result and I'm a bit freaked out as I've been feeling awful.

Goodbye Simponi, going to try baricitinib
I have been taking Simponi, a once a month biologic injection, for 6 months now. The effect on my painful joints has been minimal, and it would only last 3 to 4 weeks each month. With the pain, stiffness, and exhaustion I have dealt with all these months, I can't wait to leave it behind. I will be

Platelet count high
I am 35, I have ulcerative
colitis
and rheumatoid arthritis. Since last November, I have had regular blood monitoring and a chest x ray. I have been on methotrexate since then and prednisolone for a year (5mg, now weaning off). My doctor always says my bloods are great.

Reasonable request saga
I have
colitis
and palindromic arthritis. In March 2019 I asked my manager (#1) for help with my hours. She told me to keep it “unofficial” and she would try help me- I gave her at least 5 ideas and she said no to all.
