I had my colonoscopy yesterday which went well. Did anyone else have biopsies taken? I had 12 taken as I had 2 ulcers and a fairly inflamed colon. My consultant said it was to do with IBD and I'm awaiting results for the biopsies (not sure what results I.e. do you think it's to determine what type of colitis I have?? I'm getting abit nervous what if he comes back and says its something more than that?! Although I did ask him and he said nothing concerning seen as such.

Glad it all went well try not to worry as if they said everything looked fine then it probably is. They would of took the biopsies to look for IBD as there is different types of IBD hope they get to the bottom of it soon for you. I'm waiting to see a gastroenterologist but probably the waiting list will be long
The wait is the worst. But hope you get seen soon..it took me a year to get dome sort of answers! Honestly had to BEG my doctor to refer me it was such a pain the backside. Think he thought he could palm me off with IBS when clearly it's not. You know your body best! Good luck x
I know what u mean I had to beg my doctor aswell as I have been having diarhoea since January and just getting to see the GP face to face was hard enough I have had loads of blood test and stool sample taken but all keep coming back normal so the doctors said there wasn't anything else they could do so I asked to be referred to gastroenterologist specialist to see if they can find out what is wrong but the doctor wasn't going to until I said I needed something doing as I am losing weight aswell and not eating properly
You sound exactly like me! That was everything I was experiencing too. You have to push them or they dont bother! Dont worry you'll get the answers you need soon. Let me know how you get on
