So over the last 2/3 years I’ve been going through a lot of stuff with my bowels more so the last year I’ve had 1 endoscopy 3 colonoscopy 1 sigmoidoscopy 1 pill camera and a CT scan I have a mri booked for Sunday this week which will be the 13th of June I’m hoping that we get to the bottom of it as all of my symptoms are related to crohns/colitis I’m constantly in and out of the toilet I’ve started eating a lot more to try and boost some weight eating a bit more healthier and eating in excess of 3/4K calories every day I have a protein shake altrapalen which the GP has finally giving me after this long but it’s not helped at all seems to just come out instantly also they have put me on duloxetine as it’s causing me a lot of stress in n out the drs and hospital lost so much weight feel like I’m wasting away

Presumably you have had a Celiac test and its negative, have you considered you are allergic to something you are consuming ? Another possibility is Bile Acid Malabsorption or BAM for short, there is a very good website about it. I have this and take Questran which stops it.

I’ve had mixed diagnosis in my scopes also ruled out celiac ive went gluten and dairy free for over 6 months I have changed my diet a few times over the last couple of years nothing changes all my symptoms are related to crohns/colitis flare ups abdominal pain being sick bowel movements in and out the toilet with the runs etc I have a few posts I’ve put up previous for advice on here and I don’t think I could have an intolerance to everything I eat because it either comes in being sick or in 💩

Have a look at bile acid malabsorption or bile acid diarrhoea, there are variations in symptoms so you don't have to tick all of them.Drs aren't very good at recognising or diagnosing it.

I was diagnosed with ulcerated colitis last year, which in turn affected my autoimmune system. I spent 5days in hospital on intravenous steroids. I now take 1200 mg Octasa am/pm. I thought I would have to drastically alter my diet...but I eat everything that I always did and no bad effects. Had a small blip about 2 months ago and was advised to increase the Octasa for 3 wks. This worked and everything is fine now on the usual maintenance dose. Works brilliantly for me.
