pain medication
I have the complication of having a chronic back condition which means I am in pain all the time. I take gabapentin and co codamol and also recently ralvo patches. Last year and earlier this year, I suffered a heart attack, so now cannot take any kind of anti inflamatory. My GP worked with me last year

feeling useless
Hi everyone Yesterday I had a migraine made me feel quite ill . I literally ached from head to toe and did not know what to do with myself. I took some co codamol which just makes me sleep and feel groggy. I slept best part of the day and all night. My headache has gone but everything else still hurts

Bisoprolol and Codiene
I have just been to the dentist and she has prescribed Amoxicillin and Co-Codamol. I take Warfarin and Bisoprolol for my Afib and wondered if any of you knew about any unsavoury interactions. I know the antibiotic affects the Warfarin and I will need an INR check in three days, but it’s the Bisoprolol

Newby on the block!
I've recently been advised my GP to increase my Pred to 15mg daily. I no sooner get over pain in one area and its starts in another. It feels like I'm being attacked. Currently I have groin pain on my left side and am sure it's going to venture to my right side very soon. I have tried everything to see

seize up
Hi everyone, Those with arthritis in the hip, I wonder if you have any tips for me. When I try to stand up from a chair, increasingly I can only describe it as seizing up. I can not put any weight onto my bad leg and just stand there in terrible pain unable to move at all. I use one crutch but that

Advice Please, feeling a bit lost.
hello everyone, I've recently been diagnosed by the GP with Rheumatoid arthritis. This was 2 weeks ago when I went with sore hands and my bloods came back with extremely elevated CRP. Since those 2 weeks I've now got 2 painful swollen knees, an ankle I can barely walk on & 2 hands and wrists that

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
Hello, I hope you are all well and surviving the heatwave! Long story, but for 6+ years I have been experiencing worsening gynaecological pain. This started during ovulation and was a fullness within the pelvis and sharp pains within the rectum and to the lower right of my back/abdomen. Gynae referred

Can anyone make sense of this?
My last Alt and AST were slightly raised and have since lowered but just had a GGT reading of 356!!! Only an occasional drinker but been on co-codamol, Oramorph, Sertraline for about 15years. Does anyone have any ideas? I used to have a problem with drink but not for last 9 years.

Off Baricitinib and knee replacement
Hi I'm feeling tearful. I've been off Baricitinib for one week yesterday as I'm having a total knee replacement next Wednesday 13th (I had my left knee and hip replaced in 2018 before being diagnosed) and had to use walking sticks since. Already my feet and ankles are swollen and it's painful to

Fractured wrist
Good morning everyone. I need advice please. My partner managed to fall yesterday (fell off a high kerb while looking to avoid traffic) He’s fractured his left wrist and is now in plaster in a sling but been told he may likely need an operation to pin and plate it. He’s in a great deal of pain, understandably

Ibuprofen and aspirin
I have ET and normally take a 75mg aspirin alongside my Anagrelide, however my severe arthritis is having a major flare up, co-codamol isn’t touching it so I have had to take Ibuprofen for a couple of days. I haven’t taken my aspirin as I didn’t want to overdo the thinning drugs. It’s starting to calm
