Co-trimoxazole

Has anyone been prescribed this and how did you get on with it? My husband had this prescribed to deal with a stubborn bacterial infection and took 2 x twice daily. He was given 2 months supply but after 6 weeks started to feel nauseous. Have now had to stop this medication and have a hospital follow

It’s making him nauseous, He is on a high dose of Co-Trimoxazole to fight bacteria in but has not a chest infection.Has anyone else experienced episodes like this?

I’m also on Co-Trimoxazole antibiotic and Aciclovir antiviral to deal with any infections should they arise during my treatment and I don’t have any concerns about them.

my right hand and foot still feel heavy and tight but I have my speech and can walk , so grateful 🥹 im home and I’ve got pneumonia, I’m still on pred and co trimoxazole . Peak flow has dropped . I self nebuliser 4x a day .

I am still on the same antibiotics, Co-trimoxazole. Although the side effects are somewhat worse the consultant wants me to try and continue for now..

Currently I am on my third different antibiotic, Co-trimoxazole, which has quite unpleasant side effects. It was looking slightly better today, but still very nasty, after a change to silver dressings from the previous iodine dressings.

trimoxazole is resistant to the HIB bacteria, this is making me think not another two weeks antibiotics that are not going to work ,would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this or has anyone else has this med for HiB

Has anyone been prescribed Co-trimoxazole and Cefalexin 500mg to take together? I have a chest infection Klebsiella and have been prescribed the two antibiotics, however, I'm feeling quite unwell, shivery and then hot and not sleeping and wondered if anyone else has had these side effects?
